Resør 2533 Rotary Mixer Series: Deep house lesson

  • Underground deep house session with the only fan I have, my daughter. Having fun with this lovely #rotarymixer the #Resor2533 and the outstanding LP called "Playin' 4 the City".
    In this session, I'm teaching my daughter that music is all about feeling, and the best set up is which gives you the most emotions while playing. Rotary mixers + records, know how to do that.
    Have fun the same as I did.

    Hello! How does the sound quality, feedback and noise compare to the classic MK2 in your experience? Should I buy the MK7 or the classic Technics model? Thanks for your experience!
    And in your experience, how does the pitch quality compare to classic techniques MK2(3.5)?

    • @opamusic9457
      @opamusic9457  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have a different opinion here. I really like the Technics MK7 more. The pitch are really accurate. Just buy them new or last versions because the first ones had a dead spot in in the 8% area, which was fixed afterwards. In regards to feedback, I never had any issue with both MK2 and MK7 in my room. If you plan to go clubbing with them, might be a point to consider.

    Love your work and have enjoyed your journey with various rotary mixers over the last 12 months.
    At this point do you think you have found your "holy grail" mixer with the Resor?
    I still can't decide between the Resor 2533, ARS-9100B and Condesa Carmen V....

    • @opamusic9457
      @opamusic9457  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate, thanks a lot for the support. At this point the Resør is MY rotary mixer, better than the MS and Xone. I would like to try Condesa or the ARS in a future point. Resør is for me optimal because I live in Austria, no importation costs and also if I have a problem, easy send to Resor in Germany. Another important point is the price and what they are offering is a gang for the quality of the components. Sound is the most important thing for me and in my environment this mixer is freaking crazy. I just needed the FXs to have more capability and that is why I’m selling this to upgrade it to the Resor 2533FX (i already place the order). I didn’t feel the need to change to Condesa or Varia Instruments. Condesa I read that the summing is colored and crowded and for the Varia is beyond my budget due that I need 4 channels.
      I just enjoy everything from the Resor when I’m Djing and for the moment I will keep enjoying it.
      What is the most important thing for you in a rotary? What you are looking for? You can buy my Resor for a reasonable price (cheaper than new and no waiting time) and you can test it and see if it fulfill your needs. Condesa and ARS are very hard to buy them from a second hand, same as Resor.

    • @tonyboz9218
      @tonyboz9218 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@opamusic9457 thank you for your response....For me the most important criteria is quality of parts, build, and of course sound quality.
      As I live in Australia, Condesa is the best value but I do not like the fact they use unshielded ribbon cable to connect ALPs pots to main board. The V.U meters look cheap (eBay for USD 30.00 per pair) and out of place on a such a high end mixer. I have heard from an owner of both a Condesa Carmen V and ARS 9100 that the Condesa sounds two dimensional and lacks dynamics when using internal phono preamps. I have always used high quality external phono preamps on all my mixers so this isn't a major issue.
      Appreciate the offer to sell me your 2533 but I want a black faced unit, black/silver knobs, toggle switch for V.U meters between main and cue, mic input and the new slimline frame.
      I'm ruling out the ARS 9100B as the manufacturer has not been responding to my emails.
      For cartridges you should try Nagaoka MP-110. Smooth, warm with extended bass and great high end detail. I use MP-200, which are absolutely amazing, but pricey ...
      Keep spinning.... Love your work!

    • @opamusic9457
      @opamusic9457  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tonyboz9218 yeah mate, seems you know exactly what you want. Regarding the Nagaokas, they are on my target when these Audio Technicas worn out. Thanks for the suggestion.
      The Resor I ordered, is what you want, switch to cue/master signal in the VU meters and also black :) you will see it in the next videos as soon as it be delivers to me.
      Keep spinning too! Cheers
