I found your video 4 days ago.. and i gave it a try and my score was 61.. then i started doing it daily for about 1-2 hrs and now i have an average score of 130..i think i will be able to cross 190 in next week.. thank you so much for the video❤️
Yeah, I know all the countries too plus all the disputed territories and all the capitals. If you use geoguessr/seterra, worldgeographygames, lizardpoint, pursosegames, and jetpunk, it becomes pretty easy if you're willing to put in the time. It's an impressive "stupid human trick" at a bar, and will definitely win you some bets if you're the gambling type.
@@MattXShaver I did it continent by continent, and you can split them into regions and learn one region per week. Just drilling drilling drilling. Mnemonics help as well for the crazier-sounding capitals. Purposegames is a gem because you can make your own quizzes. Kinda like drawing up your own flash cards.
break it up by region, practice till u get 100% for the first time, take a ten min break, repeat until u get 100% again, take a 20 min break, repeat until u get 100% a third time, take a half hour break, and then do it one final time. it should be in your memory by then
For me it helps mostly learning them letter by letter, starting with the letters with fewest countries for example R, Q, Z and J, and then gradually learning harder ones, like J and H, which is basically where I am at right now. On a good day I can name P too
I did it using the jetpunk quiz with all countries, it was nice because you didn't have to press enter, it accepted multiple spellings and it gave a list of the countries you missed afterwards! I was wondering - what's the next step? I mean, i could start going for capitals, of course, but it's more of a question of... what are the important things you should know about a country? Should i be watching a documentary about every country? Should i be finding out their most important cities? Should i research their food or their music? What do people value you knowing about their country?
Thanks for your reply! Would you say that learning about the history of the different nations respectively has coalesced into a strong understanding of world history as well? Because i think that would be a veritable superpower. Man this stuff is inspiring!

I recently learnt how to name all the flags in the world it took me like 4 hours over the course of 3 days. It was helpful as I already knew the countries of the world
I found your video while I was searching for a good way to learn some geography. I am on my way. I was shocked that I only knew 20 countries from Europe, when I toke the test. But a week later, and I learned all 47, it's addictive and I will keep going, until I learn everything. Thanks a lot for making this video!

Thank you so much!! Just started using Sporcle and it's making it so much easier to grasp... So glad I came across your video☺ It was of so much help...
I've learned all the countries and flags in 3 days.. I've used sporcle to learn, but I've had a nicer starting point because I've always loved geography.
I got 52 my first try, and that was 3 hours ago right after first watching this video. So for the last 3 hours I've just been hammering the Americas, Europe and Africa and now I'm consistently getting around 120 depending on if I can recall fast enough. Definitely overworked my brain and need a break but was having so much fun. Thanks for making this, it is what made me want to do this.
I remember when I first started seeing TH-cam videos of people doing this I thought it was impossible. But as you say, if you get solid at each continent first before doing the whole world then it becomes quite easy. I completed it a couple of years ago, but I still quickly do it once a week to keep it fresh in my memory. Same with the flags, English counties, US states. Next step is capital cities.
I play a game where you play as a country and invade others that how i know the whole of europe and a large amount of Asia and Africa and the largerr ones in North America im not good at south america yet
I was having a hard time with belize but i knew el Salvador so i thought to myself "i cant belize that country is the same size as el Salvador". Now everytime i see el Salvador i know the one thats the same size and little above is belize. So dumb but hey it worked beautifully😂
hello, can I ask how do I make a quiz on the countries I keep getting wrong? I like your quizzes but I think I will learn faster if I can somehow be tested on the ones I keep getting wrong
Countries which were different for me to spell Venezuela Bosnia and Herzegovina Lithuania Liechtenstein Vanuatu North Macedonia Surprisingly i manage to memorize names of most African countries
I learned all the countries and their flags in 30 minutes. I just practice like all the countries in Europe than the Americas, Asia, Africa and Oceania. Average:191 🙂
honestly i’m here just incase the day comes where some dude with a microphone interviews me for their instagram post and asks me “where is this place?” or “what is that country?”. like i know the main countries yeah but idk ALLLL OF THEM😭😭😭😭 I EVEN DONT KNOW ALL THE FLAGS THAT WELL 😭😭😭😭😭
@@jeremy5698 u don't get it. just because it's not important doesn't mean it's a waste of time. it's something like butterfly knife tricks, it's pretty much useless, u can just open the knife with the easiest trick that takes like 0.5 seconds and is way more effective or u can just carry some other type of knife but learn complex butterfly knife tricks is fun, it's a challenge, and it's also an impressive skill. the same thing applies to this geography stuff

true, sporcle has so many annoying ads

Yes because they are all included together on the same Sporcle quiz! And they’re all on the same continent, Central America is not a continent.
