I've got a boosted harbinger with celestial (been wondering what to do with her extra hero points) and my current scourge is in viper so I'll probably give them both a try.
Some genuine feedback, hope you take it well. Terror is not worth it unless you for some reason don't want to run BiP. If you don't slot BiP but ie. CPC for carapace stacks, then yes, Terror + Insidious is more damage, otherwise, run Master of Corruption for lower BiP CD and Plaguesending for way more DPS. Go try it out. With Death Magic you most likely want to run CPC for poison stacks to upkeep Carapace through Putrid Defense, but it's not mandatory. Just very good. Not really sure whether Herald of Sorrow is good if you're actually solo, since it's lower damage than Desert Shroud, and you're not using the Protection due to Corrupter's Fervor, as well as the Might (from Abrasive Grit interaction) since you should be already capped anyway. Something to test out. In a group, ofc HoS is just solid support. There is absolutely no reason to not run Scepter in offset and copy the default DPS (alac) Scourge rotation. You are gonna do WAY more damage, use the newly gained Lingering Curse as well, and mainly upkeep better Deathly Strength uptime (stats from Carapace) due to scepter autos applying poison. This change would also yield much more Lifeforce generation for even more damage and survivability. More damage would also ofc mean more healing because of Parasitic. Not running Scepter is the biggest mistake this build made. It costs literally nothing, and fills the time between pistol cooldowns. With two weapons slot in Torment and Earth sigils respectively. Yeah there might be more but I'm gonna stop here. Also wtf is up with those 2 Spiteful Infusions :D

Just some clarification on some points. The build does not run terror. The gw2skills website is not updated unfortunately, so that spot SHOULD be parasitic contagion. I was really hoping I didn't confuse people with it before I posted but I should have clarified. That is why I chose to run insidious instead since we won't be transferring anything anyway. Of course parasitic contagion is a must here. CPC is awesome with death magic, and I thought about including it and should have as a suggestion. I instead chose to focus on self might gen and quickness and just high boon uptime in general. More of a solo playstyle I guess. Herald of Sorrow is my peepo contingency. I've tried in the past explaining very simple concepts, and unfortunately not everyone gets it or they simply cannot play at the same pace. No matter what I try to reccomend they will not adjust fast enough. So, the extra prot will guarantee the average player will not drop prot. But I won't disagree with your points, I just have to be more general. As far as scepter goes, I completely agree which is why I recommend it in the video and included as the default dps variant of set up. 😉 The celestial version should be using scepter too, to be fair. But I chose to prioritize being even tankier with dagger 2. And camping pistol allows for more vuln stacks solo. But I should have made scepter the default and dagger as an optional choice. Sometimes it's hard to deliberate when you are talking to yourself and wondering if your average player is able to even pull off certain things. But ill update the Cele version to default scepter. I chose torment/celerity just for some extra quickness as I cannot stand how slow scourge is without it. Just my own personal choice. I have no idea why the two infusion are there. I'll fix that. Oh lmao you're right, that spot is Parasitic now, I'm damn dumb 😂 It's late, sorry, a poor excuse, but oh well. So Insidious and Parasitic instead of MoC and ofc Lingering Curse, yes, that makes sense. My brain got stuck in last patch for a moment there, but the testing on Terror was done this patch and that was what I remembered. Then Insidious makes sense and my argument is null. Yes, Insidious without MoC is good, that point still stands and we can agree on :D Since you don't run MoC now, CPC might be slightly better than BiP, but unfortunately I don't have data on that. The testing I remember was done in full boons so the Might may make a difference in the end, but value of BiP drops considerably without MoC, understandably so. Fair enough, Herald of Sorrow is still good, the difference would be minimal at best and when there are players around, this is much much better anyway. Why I commented on scepter is because it wasn't in the link, and I have not seen you use it anywhere in the video. Might have not noticed it, because to be honest with you, it got a bit repetitive after a while so I went looking into the gw2skills link and let it play in the background. My apologies if you included it. But yes, I realize doing the weaponswap might be rough for some players, but it's very good to get into your muscle memory and such, and it will pay off even when done poorly. As much as dagger is amazing for self-survivability, I really don't think it's particularly worth on this build. I didn't pay much attention to the full Viper build as at first glance it just looked like the raid build but with Death Magic which would make sense to me, so I called it there and closed the tab :D As for the sigils, afaik the highest dps version is Torment(+X) and Earth(+X) on swap (X is Celerity in your case). As in, if you camp one weapon, Torment should be in it, but if you aim to swap off-cooldown, Earth should pull ahead on-swap afaik. And yes, slow scourge is painful, we can agree on that xd Considering Celerity's 20s Cooldown, it would probably be fully optimal to have it only on one weaponset, but oh well, I don't think that's as important. You should try some Strike-Bosses, might be possible … or fractals; really impressive though! The issue with Raid-bosses are mechanics and enrage timer (DPS gates)… maybe W7 Adina and Sabir…?
I noticed that you don't really run any stun-breaks or stability sources in your utility skills for the tougher build version. For going solo in certain areas (i.e. Dungeon Rush event) where you would get juggled by CC constantly, would it make sense to replace Blood is Power with Well of Power for an additional source of quickness and stun-break and brief stability? Or maybe CPC for missle block? P.S. I was theorycrafting and also picked the same Carapace traits to replace Blood traits, since I needed more survivability. I'm glad we think alike! I found your video when I was searching online for scourge builds, since I hadn't seen a Curses/Carapace build be used in solo OW before.
So which other raid boss than Cairn are you soloing on this build? Jokes aside, soloing Cairn is still quite impressive, I was thinking that being able to take both contagion and lingering curse might make for a pretty broken solo build and wouldn't you know it, I was right. I expect this to get nerfed again pretty quickly tbh, but I guess we'll see.
reaper is a power spec it applies no conditions and gets no healing from parasitic contagion otherwise, you can try to make a reaper varient but it won't sustain long enough + has no barrier application. run the same build with reaper and use condi weapons outside of shroud. pretty simple.
what if i dun have wm training yet? cant use pistol for now so can i just run with dagger and torch? Im new to game so im taking each story in order so wm training comes last lol. I just need to use it for open world story.

Why your builds don't have a 2 weapons in second slot? (Sorry for a dumb question). Also can you use different weapons with this build or pistol torch is a must?
@@MrMystic1 Oof that's a long time to be fighting but yeah you're onto something here, both with the build and a potential on going video series idea of making builds that can solo raid bosses and maybe rating them based on how easy it was and time to kill.

i play full cele and I cant outheal cairn, no chnace with dagger too. its too much ticking dmg :/ Edit: nvm i figured out only using F3 and F5 for barrier^^ :D
Anyone who plays necro would know that the necro buffs were absolutely insane and has made the class OP. (Looks at Anet who clearly doesn't their own game, or necro for that matter, to let this buff exist XD) Use and abuse until they realise how big of a mistake this was XD
so curses deathmagic n scourge , one thing I like about soul reaping is eternal life. What is funny to me is EL trait, a scourge can maintain 100% life-force out if combat, a bladesworn loses flow - oooo the imbalance.
should've known the raid boss is Kairn. dude, you can solo Kairn with a heal druid, and soloing champions isn't anything that special. solo something difficult if you're gonna claim it's strong
Its to display the raw potential a build has and not some sort of competition… But if you spout such big tones then please try to solo Kairn yourself first and upload the video here and then make a video of the toughest fight you can think of and then we can talk 😂
Wish ANet would start nerfing these OP, lower effort builds. This only makes in-game attitude toward "lesser" and non-meta builds more toxic toward those who actually do want to play them.

You can use whatever utility you might need! Trail of Anguish is a great stun break and bring stability! CPC is also great!

i dont think it will be nerved there are a lot of builds and classes that can be used to solo cairn

Parasitic contagion mainly. You heal for a percentage of all condi damage you deal. So as long as you have condis ticking you are very durable.

28 minutes, which isn't horrible, but I could probably cut it down a lot. That was my first attempt and I didn't really optimize the kill.

WHat do you mean unbuffed? Might, quickness, alacrity, fury, and food are the only buffs you need. That's literally fully buffed.

What is the rotation?
Spam all your buttons and use the barrier f3 and f5 if you are using the alac trait. F5 should be used regardless.

Harbinger wouldve been better instead of scourge so you dont have to worry about celerity sigil and chronomancer runes for quickness
Harbinger is squishier, has a harder time with might and does not give itself alacrity. It just doesn't have the tools scourge does.
