Well some of the benefits are. -group boons(alac/might/prot etc)/benefits (barrier, cleanse) which is much better in group settings. -better condition cleanse (this is mandatory in janthir) -more boon corruption -better utility skills from scourge -does over 20k solo on 4m golem which is less than reaper...but in open world your reaper shroud can easily get destroyed meaning your damage goes down the drain. - can actually use its utility skills at any point. Is this build suitable for anything outside of open world or story? This variant is for open world only. Anet need to buff strike damage for scourge. @2:13 It's a bounty mechanic that you're not doing correctly. The orange hand is telling you to STOP, like a stop sign, stop moving. If you stop moving, you won't be blinded. The green sign, means you need to move and attack to avoid being blinded.
For anyone wondering, the F2-5 skills each cast the damage effect of manifest sand shade, which when set for power means each of your F2-5 skills do about 2k AoE off GCD. F5 hits for 2k in addition to the damage it does.
Oh I HAVE to try this! Also the Valravn Champ has the Stop/Go mechanic. If the stop sign is flashing, you can't use WASD while attacking or you'll be perma blinded as long as you're moving. Same with the Go sign. If you aren't moving while attacking, all your attacks are gonna miss from the blinded status. Its super annoying...

I like to play my necro with a power reaper build, currently with spear and greatsword. Of course I`ll give this scourge build a try. I also like celestial stats plus traveller runes while running around on the maps solo or with random players around or playing the living story and for all my classes and specs.
Ive been messing around with Grieving Reaper. Was using minions to transfer conditions from all the Blight. Super survivable and pretty fun tbh. But definitely not a chart-topper on DPS. Definitely gonna give this a try and learn from it.
The Valravn champ has the same mechanics as every bounty does in the game. One of those is the mechanic to move or dont move to avoid being blinded. I assume you never farmed elegy mosaics for gen2 legendaries? You would have needed to kill hundreds of those champions.
Without debuffs and self buffs im only getting 12 k with exotic, can you give any priority on skills?? thanks. i'm trying to kill Champion Quetzal Commander but 0 chance :'(
No offense, but reaper is still top tier for Open World. I tried doing MP elite mobs in HOT and Harbinger and non heal scourge just get 3-4 shot, reaper just built different
@@sirith9157 17k in full Zerk? Come on! No team revive to speak of, so immediately eliminating the real utility of Scourge. Much better Util classes for every buff it has. Look, it's cute... power scourge is certainly... different. But not something I'd want on a CM let alone anywhere else.
Not sure where you are getting 17k from. This does around 21k. And this solo. Not in a group. In a group you can use close to death for even more damage. It's an open world build, so you'd never take it to a cm. And yes it still provides a boatload of utility.
@@MrMystic1 "Not sure where you are getting 17k from" - From your video. And if it's an OW build, why not Cele, which is far more survivable than zerk? I was kinda expecting Cele when I tapped the build.
@@XMeK In my video I never ended at 17k. Even in the video showcase I hovered around 18k and that was not including the fact that your spears skills do more damage under 50%. I also did not use signet of spite, which would have boosted the damage even more. But no it's not HUGE damage, it's more utility focused. And cele is not just used to to survive it's mostly for condition classes that need to dip into boon duration, some toughness, healing and expertise and condition damage. It's not needed on this build, and those stats wouldn't help us.

yes, also you can dodge during the red hand circle as dodge rolling or other evade skills do not count as moving.

Thanks for the build. I like the utilities like cleaning conditions and stripping boons of this build, I find it especially useful in Janthir Wilds.
Ah wouldn't of considered a power scourge, but taking the defensive traits makes sense!!!
