  • Friday, 08/25/2023, at 11:24 PM (23:24), seen here are two Yankee Line buses operating as MBTA Red Line Subway Shuttle buses (both en-route for Braintree), leaving the North Quincy Station in North Quincy of Boston, Massachusetts. The two units seen here are 2023 Mercedes-Benz Tourrider unit #310, and 2006 Gillig Low Floor 40’ unit #216. This was filmed late in the evening, and these shuttle buses were providing alternate service for the MBTA Red Subway Line and nearby commuter rail lines.
On this day from the Friday evening till Monday morning (lasting the entire weekend), there were service adjustments due to construction work, that suspended MBTA Red Subway Line and commuter rail service between the South and Braintree Stations; Red Line trains did still run however between the South and Ashmont Stations. Free shuttle buses ran in two sections.
Many of these shuttle buses were using fleet from Yankee Line, with one section between JFK/Umass and Braintree; many with intermediate stops in between, and the other section nonstop between South and Braintree.
