Hey there, thank you for taking your time to do this tutorial. I managed to install rowcrop onto a map and it ran fine, kind of. I kept getting an error about there not being enough channels in the densitymap fruits, probably caused by there being to many fruit types already installed on the map, so I removed some, but the first time I watched the video I didn't really pay attention at what you said at 9:08, about crops replacing others, so my map ended up being a mess, with maize growing where decoration stones were and sugarcane instead of meadow grass. So I started from the beginning, now I ran into another problem that at this time of day I can't figure out why is happening, so I did everything again, this time replacing one crop with a rowcrop one, so I won't have the error about not enough channels or whatever, the only thing is that on the pda map the plowing required overlay seems to be offset(and maybe larger) everything else seems to be fine. So I started again from the beginning and the only thing I've did is resize the densitymap_fruits and densitymap_ground from 4096 to 8192 or whatever, and the plow map is offset. Any idea what is happening? Thanks
You have 4 gdm files to scale and you also need to resize the grle files like plow, lime, stubble and roller. If your map doesn’t have them you need to grab them from the game files and change the file path to them

Hey there again 😁 After resizing all the gdm and grle files(except for the soilmap, it appears that it needs to stay at 1024x1024) I seem to have another problem, I'm not sure it is related to rowcrop directly but it might be related to the grles being resized maybe, (I think indoorMask) I was playing and got through the winter and when spring arrived(March) my game crashed to desktop with no error in the log file, I restarted the game and this time I noticed that immediately after the grass went from the frosty green to the normal green my game crashed. I restarted the game again and this time, using the easydev mod, I tried to add snow and the game crashed instantly. Have you experienced this before? Any ideas what might be wrong? I tried resizing the indoorMask back to it's original size, tried to replace it with the backup, I even generated a new one but it still crashes.
@@BkpBRMyou only need to resize 4 gdm and 6 grle files. follow along with the two videos I have made and youll be fine. You need to resize the gdm and grle 200% to have rcr work. The issue you are having is that you scaled the height gdm and the indoor grle which do not get scaled. those deal with snow so thats why when it snows it crashes your game
Great video! One question. All the planters I pull up that I have currently only have the one work area for the entire planter, so how did you create the work area for each row? Are you able to simply copy and paste the work area main for the planter down to each row unit? Then change something in the xml to see or know the work area for each row? Or can this only be done to a mod that has a work area previously made for each row? Just seems like a lot was missed at the start there for most the planters out there right now to follow this. I'm also not much of a modder though and you did say at the beginning you should have some experience with modding, so I apologize. Thanks again for all the great work you do for the farming community.

Hey, I have a question. I had tried row crop with soybeans from the base game and I had an area like if you had sown it normal. When I use the ones from No Creek it looks good. What has been changed about the soybeans in No creek to make them look good as a row crop? I would like to adjust canola, because they also sow this with a planter in my region.

This is freaking awesome!!! I do know you said in the video that there is no support for 4x. Do you know is it even possible to put row cropping into spring creek? I've been adding crops and different things to the map and hate to let it go. Just want to make sure it's doable and the performance won't completely ruin my game from the row crop. The workarea's are exact the same like you video, i have 4 small ground lines for my corn. But in each line, i have a small thin line (it's the seeding texture for corn). This line doesn't follow the planter workarea's but they have a 45 degrees angle. Do you know how i good make these the same angle like the workarea? Maybe i could send a picture to explain everything a little bit?
@@alwayshardstyle1623 I believe you have messed something up in the rowcrop part of the map. While doing the planter the way I show in this video will work I have found that you should make the work area smaller. Please send the picture on discord
I did it to JHHG's 1775NT 2018 planter. It doesn't show up in game though. It shows up where you select the mods for the map, but it's not in the store. Could you help?
I'm going to tell you to redo it. My guess you messed something up in the xml and it cant read it. You should go to the CO-OP discord for more help and share your game log for more info to us
Hrm, I have done this a few times now and I get a LUA error about vehicle specialization each time I try and buy a planter. Am I missing something glaring here? I am not new to adding fruits and map making, but this is the first try at RCR fruits
Yeah that's what I did, and it didn't work... so I copied almost everything hoping it would work, still didn't. Yesterday searched for file paths as well in the maize, map, fruittypes xml's as well. I guess I'm overlooking something. Will let you know if I find the problem. Thanks so far!

Hi. For some reason my map won't convert the png's to gdm's when i go in map i3d and save the map. It just creates the normal 2x2 gdm insted. Do you know how to fix it, please?
@@squatchmonky Nvm, already solved it. I just had to rename the files and put that name in i3d and it works. For some reason it didn't recognise that files were changed, don't know why it's like that on every map i tried.
I have a issue, In the data folder of my map I cant find the cultidensity.gdm nor the normal cultidensity is this a problem? does this mean that the rowcrop cant be done on this map?
Not very helpful on why not. You could’ve posted some reasons. If I didn’t make it row crop they’re probably missing the lines for precession farming out your using the wrong precession farming
Well I tested No Creek, Tahetan, Monteith, and Coming Home from Asylum Modding, I get it in the server, and it's gets to 95% and keeps spinning the login circle
hey man very nice tutorial, unfortunaly it doesnt work for me yet, Ive did everything you said as far as im aware and the crops are in the game but the game wont let me buy the rowcrop ready planter, it just keeps loading. someone asked the same question before and your answer was that he didnt made a category in the fruittypes.xml, but ive checked it multiple times and i think ive did everyting right, any idea what i did wrong?
Question: What we need to do if we want to have the rowcrop maize, but at the same time want to have custom textures for it and stubble destruction. I'm guessing that the only change you guys did was on the xml? So i guess the textures aren't a problem, but then, what was changed to the xml for the rowcrop and can it be implemented with a stubble destruction too?
@@xcrownx-e55 you have to have the destruction state in there and then the fruitType calls for that. No creek has aw corn textures with work destruction and rcr
You just make a new transform group that is in the parent transform group of the mod and reference those index paths to the the working area in the xml. That’s a decent explanation

Okay um is anyone sees this help me so i am using a row crop planter on a row crop ready map and i've planted ready for harvest but i cant harvest some heads destroy the head but i dont get any corn or beans i've tried different heads and different combines but nothing, what am i doing weong
He actually left something out. If you open the maps_fruitTypes.xml from the NoCreek map and go to the fruitTypeCategories at the bottom, there is a "ROWCROP" catetory that has silage_corn, MAIZE, and ROWCROPSOYBEAN. Copy that and paste it into the fruitTypes.xml of your map and it should work.
doesn't work in FS22, bc there is noch cultidesnsity! now there is a ground density, but it's not the same! With this, you can add more Terrainangles for example.

Hey, after upscaling gdm's pile created via combine has 1/4 maximum height, by telehandlers etc is reaching max height without problems

@@Manu-M12 planter capacity is how much it holds. I think you want seed population which unfortunately is not possible due to game limitations

Ya I’ve done it to multiple 4x since this video. Idk how big spring creek is but i haven’t tried it in that map

It’s just time consuming to set up big planters. You’ll see at the end of this video how you can do it

@@SimAsylum couple things. May not have three rows done right in the planter or you didn’t change numperblock to 4 in the crop.xml

You need to grab the effects folder from No creek rcr or my starter map. The stubble needs to be fixed in your fruit type xml

@ it doubles when you crack it so 64 and you can use thundr limit break to have 1000 some filltypes which the productions are included in

no. As I stated in the video it can be called something else. The fs22 name will be densityMap_ground

You don’t have the row crop category or you didn’t spell it the same

For textures and destruction thats in the fruitType.xml nothing to do with the maize.xml

Then you did something wrong, because it’s obvious you missed something somewhere. Whatever your log says right before the lua stack is your issue(s)
you need to add a fruittypecategory called "ROWCROP" in your map_fruitType.xml. Its the line 353 in the no creek map folder.

Can Confirm it does work with courseplay just be sure to adjust your offset accordingly and that the helper using an RCR planter of course
