Neil you may ge tired of doing your old stuff, buts its keeping us (read as millions) sane in our darker moments. Ive loved these notes for 40 years and play them to pull me thru.
Harvest is one of Neil Best albums ever, and Words is also one of his best ever songs. It was the seventies and this amazingly bright and eccentric young man came into rock's scene like a hurricane, chanting words, and here we are in the years while he's still rocking in the free world, Long may you run Neil
I was there, the whole gig was beautiful, Words just gives me goosebumps, don't listen to any negative comments about his performance at Malahide, absolutely sublime. Ths sun came out in the evening and shone on us all, god bless ya Neil, peace
what a song , what a version , sat on beach drinking beers all day then seen the best gig in years , this clip brings a great day back, you have my thanks for post what a day
This is insanely beatiful song. I've had some hard times lately. There are several friends who got kicked out at work etc.. It has nothing to do with Neil Young or anybody else.. But listening this made me cry my heart out.. It's just what i needed. I always end up to listen Neil when the hard times comes..
you couldnt have summed it up any better, i had a few beers on the beach then went in to the castle to see a legend do his stuff ,does nt get any better, what a day and the sun shone brightly
His voice sounds younger in recent clips than it did in the 90s. He's not transposing his songs down a step or two like he was in the 90s. It's unbelievable! He sounds great here!
Thanks so much for posting this!!!! Malahide was so special peace to everyone in the pit with me too who made the event even more glorious. you know who you are x Oh and thanks to mother nature for keeping the sun shining and the rain away. Love ya Neil!
Yes, thanks for posting Colin, but had the weirdest experience tonight, was in Cineworld in Parnel Street saw the man himself coming out of a movie, followed him outside and he was escorted into the back of a Chauffer driven silver Merc !
The White Falcon was 'traded' to Still's for a non-stereo version of the same guitar ... If you notice, Neil's is a rare stereo Falcon ... Check out the photo inside the jacket of the 'Decade' LP ....
Everybody seems to write appropriate things, with a lot of knowledge about this and that on music and Neil. I don't know enough to participate this big debate, i'm an old punker whatever. Yet this song is so fucking amazing, and the whole album is. And Neil is, too.
Is this the same falcon he had in the 60s? If yes, nice. Saw him in Winnipeg last year and he gave his black Gibson a bit of an ass kicking. I was suprised to see him rip the strings off as he did, but glad to have been a witness :)
I doubt that Les Paul woulda been much good for Harvest anyways. From what I've heard it's vertually imposible to play anything under a thousand decibels on it and keep it audible x
c'mon man, fair crack. Neil outlasted Bon for 1 simple reason 'moderation'. It sux i know AC/DC died with Bon imo as well, but let's not hold that against a "living legend".

God bless Neil..you never know where he's going to go on a song or when he's willing to quit playing it :-) rock on Neil Young

The sound of his Gretch White Falcon just tears into my heart and turns it up to 11.
GREAT !!
5 Stars from Germany !
Unbelievable, a god-like poetic dream...yes, don't ever pull this; my heart must hear and see, despite its yearning to cease (beating)

Ben Keith RIP - I didnt know. v sad
Crazy Horse for ever
True, Old Black wouldn't have been clean enough to use on Harvest
I can die now...
