Hipsters: They are superbly calm and perpetually moody. They have semi-attractive facial features. They dress in things that have been worn before them, usually plaid or denim, and only the slimmest-fitted pants. They don’t fold their clothes. They don’t eat. They write in coffee shops for hours and don’t budge because they are cool-as-fuck. Their whole demeanor is that which says, “I do not know, or care to know, that you exist. Observe me all you want, I am not bothered. But do not enter my world.” Their hair is greasy. Their shoes are scoffed. They do not iron their button-up shirts. They are a tortured soul. They have no money, which they will never talk about. They go to extremely non-mainstream shows almost every night. When you happen to be drunk, they seem like the most elusively beautiful people you’ve ever seen. When they stare at a woman, they stare in a way she has never been stared at before. They also have long-term girlfriends with long hair and/or dreads. Their long-time girlfriend has a booth at the Farmer's market, where she sells organic vegetables.
As a musician I have to say it. Those people were there to have conversations and enjoy their pints. There was also a woman there just reading a book. You can't force your music on people and expect them to give a damn. Nobody was there to hear music and given their attention to this guy. I'm sure they still enjoyed it, but they're not obligated to stop what they're doing and pay attention. I'll also say this. Boogie woogie is repetitive music. You can switch the keys, but it's still the same shit. There's nothing unique about it.

From America, This reminds me of my family reunions Where 300 of us gathered on my mom side, Who came from a family of 13 children. Once a year we have a reunion, With all of us camping out in the woods Oh my uncles were musicians, Self taught They brought pianos, accordions ,Sax ,Clarinets, guitars, flute The aunts and uncles Reminiscing And drinking beer, With them and many cousins singing - very talented. The youngest children Were out catching tons of fireflies. Very special memories

Funny how not a lot of people taking a blind bit of notice. Yet as a young man back in south Wales on a Friday or Sat night I'd take my guitar to our local and few of us would get together and play some music, used to have a great singalong. People don't bother now. Nicely played Terry
Zombies have more energy and enthusiasm than those people, the only place you get any appreciation is at pubs where they have Jam sessions. I've jammed with classical violinists, jazz, blues and rock musicians and operatic singers all improvising together, the best days of my life, but after covid so many closed due to being empty for 2 years and still having to paying for the rent and bills. They lost their businesses and livelihoods.

Beautiful Boogie Woogie music played for free yet it did not grab the attention of very busy people sitting down, drinking and eating, that would not happen in my town, the people would be up and dancing on the tables if a great piano man came into our pub and started playing

For the far to brief year I lived in London, I was just down the way in Haggerston. I walked my dog down Regents Canal past this pub over to Rosemary Gardens many, many times. Stopped for a drink a few times with friends outside. I'd have loved to have heard you playing.

In my younger days we would have been dancing all over the place in that pub.

😂😂 They just make they're own rules chief high time they had to pay some tax and have public liability insurance if they're not going to use the millions of pounds worth of cycle lanes and insist on being in the roads with traffic seems inly fair to everyone else😁
Law now states give aay to pedestrian for cyclists

For the far to brief year I lived in London, I was just down the way in Haggerston. I walked my dog down Regents Canal past this pub over to Rosemary Gardens many, many times. Stopped for a drink a few times with friends outside. I'd have loved to have heard you playing.
