I like your videos because you get right to the point. Other training videos go on and on about irrelevant points and waste precious time.

Thank you. It's hard because there is usually a lot of background info that is important. I'm trying to edit myself a bit more. ;)

We have a 8 year old Golden Retriever who is the love of our lives. BUT he is a renegade! He’s been barking at the tv like a lunatic for years. He knows every commercial & every tune of the music that is played. He barks at dogs, squirrels, horses etc… & even animated objects. We “tried” several times to correct it but we were never consistent and failed. But this is getting increasingly annoying because it’s constant. So I plan to do your method. I will be laid up from knee surgery so I figured it would be a perfect time. I know Goldens are highly trainable and he is food driven. Do you think I will have success? Also he’s extremely lease reactive. Do these 2 terrible behaviors go hand in hand? Thank you for a great video!

Our dog (RIP Luca) was so funny with TV he barked only at critters on TV nothing else and it didnt matter if it was a cartoon or puppet or ANYTHING a human would recognize as a dog Luca barked tp acknowledge the animal ....he even barked at the dog made of pipes on a certain commercial he was good at it and watched the TV like a hawk just waiting to "catch" the animal....for a long time he even barked at the mirror....oh he KNEW all....ALL the cmmercials by heart and would run into the room when he heard one of "his" commercials.....it was a pain sometimes but honestly it was way more entertaining than annoying

My dogs trigger is humans 🙆🏼‍♀️ We've had him for 3 days & now he thinks he's a guard dog. He's started to bark at the TV and strangers. He loves people but is all of a sudden acting scared/protective. He's a mini goldendoodle with a very loud bark 😫

3 days isn't long enough to say he's changed behavior. We say the rule of 3s in a new rescue. 3 days, weeks, months as they are learning about their new life. However, I would contact a local positive trainer to help you. Good luck.

I think it is more excitment than guarding anything at least with our dog ....he loves to bark at people but he just wants to meet them not bite em ,,,its a pain in the neck

How many weeks will this take? It took two weeks to teach her to lie down on command. Not a food motivated dog

No idea. It depends on your dog's history, your management success, and how much you practice. Motivation is definitely key, but remember the volume is super low hopefully to not cause a reaction. Try 100% meat, no junk,
