  • Probably the last ride I'll ever take on State street in a #6400 series, It was bittersweet to see these buses run over the late summer at 103rd garage especially #6882 which ran the most out of the 6400s they had on stand by. Nonetheless I had a blast going down memory lane to the early 2000s riding this bus.

I know the feeling. I have memories riding this type of bus on Route 29 during the early 2000s before, during, and after receiving the automated announcement system.

Yessir, those were days I remember especially when at one point they shared the streets with Flixible Metro Bs and a few TMCs out of 103rd on the 29.

@@nascarfan20105 I highly remembered that too. There weren't much TMCs in 77th Garage compared to 103rd's 100+ they hosted.

@@StevenWWade Yeah most of the TMCs were at 74th,103rd, and North Park until the late 2000s. 77th received the last few before 2008 up until retirement.

Bro I'm gonna be in tears when these are retired. I wish CTA would reactive these buses at 103rd or 77th.

Well I hope that 103rd activates them again before they're retired in 2022. I've gotten enough rides out of Forrest Glen and North Park this summer but for the Southside garages I'd hope to get some more action.
