Yeah! The quality at night is impressive! I've got the iPhone 12 and been uploading 4K HDR Cinematic videos for the channel and it's a game changer for me cause with the 11 pro I couldn't do that... not with that quality!😬

I’ve seen tons of camera reviews for the new iPhone and yours and is the only one where I legit saw a difference between the 11 and 12’s camera. The natural bokeh and autofocus at night during video are the biggest things that stood out.

I hope that the following models will improve the pixels of the front camera and increase the pixels of the rear camera. In addition, hope you can use the facial recognition sensor on the front to give it a better blur of the background and it would be very good if you use the LiDAR sensor on the back to blur the background when recording a video in normal situation.
@@chengL10 you can take RAW photos by downloading an app that allows you to do that. I used one of those apps to take RAW photos of the sky and then stack them together using software to capture galaxies.
As a person who is getting into blender and CGI, Lidar is definitely something I look forward to having in my next phone! The ability to 3d scan anything and use it as reference in a build is just too tempting!
Never minded the notch. Don’t get the point to 90-120Hz on an iPhone because scrolling is smooth, not like the juddering on Android phones. Apple will likely bypass USB C.
@@tjl2836 I’ve had iPhones since 2008, and they’ve never been jittery. In fact, they’ve been universally praised for what’s been called their “buttery scrolling that Android, with its jittery display, can’t match”. So, while it would be nice, I suppose, it’s really not required. A reason given as to why Apple isn’t doing this yet has little to do with battery life, and everything to do with Samsung’s inability to produce enough displays for Apple that can run at the higher rate. You’ll also notice that Android phones that do run at higher rates have various problems such as running at lower resolution, less brightness, constricted color gamut, as well as significantly reduced battery life. Since Android makers seem to be using this more as a marketing tool than anything else, despite all the deficiencies, I’d rather Apple do it when they solve those problems, rather than use displays not suited for it as other manufacturers are often doing now.
@@melgross android has changed. The screen jitteryness would be true in like 2012, but things have changed. Pick up any phone with a 120hz or 90hz screen from a known brand and compare it's responsiveness to a 60hz iphone and I am 100% sure the high refresh display would be better. I've compared the 2017 Razer phone (the first high refresh phone) to the iPhone 11 and it is much more responsive and smooth. The only problem was the screen brightness at only 450 nits, but that was fixed on the second generation to 600 nits, which was the highest at that time (2018). The decreased resolution thing is only apparent on last year's S20 series, and it was fixed in the Note 20. Not to mention the Note 20 Ultra has the brightest display at 1500 nits and highest ratings by DxoMark. And if the high refresh is killing your battery too much, then you are always given the option to decrease to 60hz or 90hz (on some phones). I honestly don't see a reason why Apple wouldn't put a 120hz screen. Even their iPads have them
Unfortunately iPhones does more esp you carry it all the time and not awkward. Also it does more esp with computational photography although RAW is also available even with Hallide Mark II for previous models. With anamorphic lens from Moment and filters then DJI gimbal and drone...iPhones does more

Great review as always... still not convinced it's worth upgrading my 11 Pro max though.
The biggest change is 8 to 10 bit and i think thats a huge step with the high bit rate of filmic pro

Never minded the notch. Don’t get the point to 90-120Hz on an iPhone because scrolling is smooth, not like the juddering on Android phones. Apple will likely bypass USB C.

@@tjl2836 I’ve had iPhones since 2008, and they’ve never been jittery. In fact, they’ve been universally praised for what’s been called their “buttery scrolling that Android, with its jittery display, can’t match”. So, while it would be nice, I suppose, it’s really not required. A reason given as to why Apple isn’t doing this yet has little to do with battery life, and everything to do with Samsung’s inability to produce enough displays for Apple that can run at the higher rate. You’ll also notice that Android phones that do run at higher rates have various problems such as running at lower resolution, less brightness, constricted color gamut, as well as significantly reduced battery life.
Since Android makers seem to be using this more as a marketing tool than anything else, despite all the deficiencies, I’d rather Apple do it when they solve those problems, rather than use displays not suited for it as other manufacturers are often doing now.
@@melgross android has changed. The screen jitteryness would be true in like 2012, but things have changed. Pick up any phone with a 120hz or 90hz screen from a known brand and compare it's responsiveness to a 60hz iphone and I am 100% sure the high refresh display would be better. I've compared the 2017 Razer phone (the first high refresh phone) to the iPhone 11 and it is much more responsive and smooth. The only problem was the screen brightness at only 450 nits, but that was fixed on the second generation to 600 nits, which was the highest at that time (2018). The decreased resolution thing is only apparent on last year's S20 series, and it was fixed in the Note 20. Not to mention the Note 20 Ultra has the brightest display at 1500 nits and highest ratings by DxoMark. And if the high refresh is killing your battery too much, then you are always given the option to decrease to 60hz or 90hz (on some phones). I honestly don't see a reason why Apple wouldn't put a 120hz screen. Even their iPads have them

Honestly, if I could afford an iPhone 12, I’d just put it toward a Canon EOS R, since the phone costs like over half of what the camera does.
