How to replace reusable cap of 4 gallon Kroger water bottle: A cheaper solution.| 4 gallon water jug

This video describes how you can replace water tight caps to Kroger 4 gallon water bottle. The new water bottle (with purified water inside) costs only $4.99. You can purchase reusable caps from Amazon and reuse. The 4 gallon water bottles are much cheaper compared to the 5 gallon water bottles.

There is a way you can open the middle section. Pierce it and it can open the 3 splits.

I bought these same caps but cant seem to get them on 5 gallon bottle ...i ripped the bottom tab off and then they snap on i almost want to heat it up to put the whole cap on like a new bottle comes

it’s ridiculous the original cap has the same hole just pull tab off and put on dispenser no need to buy additional caps. See the Tab on original cap.

I am not sure. If you want to use the bottle for just one time use sure. But if you want to use it for refill, once you pull off the tab from the original cap, will the same cap be water tight and can be used again if you have to refill the bottle from a store, say, Walmart?
