Seconded. Most videos you see are full medium length to stubble and beginners. I get those because a lot of people want to stop the itch, but I think at this point, we've graduated from itching and have made a determination that we want long beards. I mean, a lot of guys are onto wizardry level lengths. Lol
Ive never seen a guy do what I do which is to use two beard brushes where I hold one on the outside of the beard and one on the backside of the beard and then clamp them together. Then I brush through and repeat all over the place. I think its a great way to get oils deep into the beard and it helps to gently remove tangles.
I really need to incorporate the blow dryer in my routine. And get back to brushing and the oil on the comb! Now I always hit it with leave in conditioner, while using a detangling brush, then use beard butter and or bread balm, and then oil. Going to see how it feels and look doing it like this. Also enjoy seeing other people that do not have overly super neat/ everything trimmed looking beards, I like keeping my beard like this... Contained, maintained, with some rage.
The boar bristle brush seems more for the outside layer. I find it difficult to get it inside the deeper portion the my beard. I started using an oxcomb and my wife’s detangler brush haha. Also that’s a magnificent beard man.
@@jackburton307 It's good when your beard is short, maybe month or two growth, to put those short hair in place. As soon it grows a bit more, the brush becomes completely useless. Why they advertise those for longer beards will never make sense to me (and mine isn't even super long, just about 5 months).
Strange, he did all that combing and brushing and blow drying... and managed to make his beard look 10x worse 😁 I understand it though, when you straighten it out like that the sebum natural skin oil is pulled from the root to the tip and the hairs stay strong and healthy. My beard is almost his length just nowhere near as wide.
Awesome vid bro 😎 can I ask? When you were growing it out did you get many Trims or did you just let go and shape up at the end. I’m on 2 1/2 years and I’m kinda scared to hit a barbershop. I just trim the very bottom myself I just keep hoping that the longer I leave it the more it will find it’s own natural shape. I don’t know what I’m doing 🤣 just curious what some of you Pros did 👍🏻😎
It all depends on personal goals, are you wanting to keep growing? I always go in and trim the sides and bottom to keep it looking tight. But leaving the bottom alone
Dude I wish I had a beard like this. Seems like it's going to take forever. Mine is only 10 inches so far, and it's taken 6 months to get there. It'll be years before I hit this level of legendary. Lol
I was looking for this and thought I was crazy. Oil before heat always and you gotta give it some time. I'm new to this beard oil thing but I'm taking all my advice from Dan C and see where that gets me.
This is BY FAR the best beard routine I've seen for us guys with long, full beards. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing! The boar hairbrush is definitely more for helping the outer hairs to lay down flat.
I bought a boar brush and think it is utterly useless.

How long does it take to grow this length beard
Depends from person to person. A few years at least!
