Try "Breakdown" for more focus on Jonah - welcome to Dirty Loops, they are a genre of their own, which you will discover if you travel on

This is the most un-typical song of Dirty Loops, in my opinion.
As others are saying, and to hear and appreciate more of Jonah’s voice, listen to “Next To You”. All of the vocal layers in that song are by him..
“Work Shit Out” features an insane drum solo by Aron and two lit keyboard solos by Jonah.
Then there is their cover of “Thriller”, a must-listen also.
    Enjoy!

Thanks for checking out Dirty Loops, one of my all time favourite bands 🙏
This their newest release, from their upcoming album, is in a way not your average Dirty Loops songs, -although there is no average one, I’d say.
Everything they do and have ever done, is unique and unexpected.
Three guys from Sweden, music conservatory-trained (from rock to jazz and probably everything inbetween), having played various instruments all their lives, and deciding in their late teens to form a trio, -Dirty Loops have become known as genre-bending, jazz/rock/RnB/soul/pop fusion trio. Basically taking every musical element, including a lot of classical influences, putting them into a blender, and ‘loopifying’ it :)
It’s well worth diving into their catalog and checking out their earlier stuff, from their covers to their originals.
Everything is of an insane quality, both instrumentally and musically speaking.
Quincy Jones, who at least until recently, had Dirty Loops on his management board, said of Jonah’s vocals: “…he’s got soul, and one of the biggest ranges I’ve ever heard.”
His piano/keys playing is brilliant as well. But honestly, and as you’ve guessed, you’ve heard nothing of his vocal genius yet.
Aron (drums) and Henrik (bass) are equal monster players on their instruments.
“Next To You”, “Work Shit Out”, “Thriller”, “World on Fire”, -everything they’ve ever done is fire 🔥
    Enjoy ☺️

Always fun to see someone discover Dirty Loops. This song is a bit of a parody on the 80's rock era, and definitely featuring the bass more heavily than the other two, but it's so much fun seeing Henrik go all Van Halen on a bass. :D My personal favourite is one of their more jazz fusion-y pieces, "Work Shit Out", which showcases both Jonah's piano skills and Aron's crazy chops. If you want something really featuring Jonah's voice, I'd recommend Next To You, or the ballad Breakdown.
They started the group as a hobby project in 2008, making twisted jazz fusion covers of top 40 songs, and never thought it would be anything other than that. In 2010 they put up a video on youtube (a cover of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance"), as a booking reference, to see if they could get a gig or two, just for fun, as they thought their music was way too unsexy for anyone to actually like it. Needless to say, they were completely wrong. The video went viral and a LOT of people absolutely loved it. Just about everything they've ever released is of this ridiculous musical quality, so if you consider checking out more of them, you could basically pick anything, and you more than likely won't be disappointed. Amd believe it or not, they're just as stupidly good live.
They've all known each other and played together for 20+ years by now, in their late thirties. Jonah (keyboard/vocals) and Henrik (bass) even went to music elementary school together and met when Henrik was 11 and Jonah was 9. Aron (drums) comes from another part of Sweden and came along when he moved to Stockholm at the age of 16, to attend the same music high school as they did (he was in the year between the other two). Then they all attended Kungliga Musikhögskolan (Royal College of Music) in Stockholm, where Henrik and Aron studied jazz/rock, and Jonah opted for music production (iirc) as his main subject.

Breakdown is an amazing vehicle for Jonah, the vocals are amazing. Also listen to Follow the Light with Cory Wong - great solos by Jonah and Henrik. Listen to Work Shit Out for a stunning drum solo by Aron, as well as brilliant keyboards by Jonah. These three guys are all world class musicians: each song they do gives us another glimpse of their range. This song is their newest, and very different from what's come before... and probably from whatever comes next.

Hard to define Dirty Loops. Funk/jazz are other denominations.
Many arrangements are by Aron the drummer. Jonah, who also plays the keyboard, is a master of layering his vocals.
By many described as musicians beloved by other musicians.
    Try 'Next To You'
    Another awesome Swedish band.
You are becoming quite the connoisseur of Swedish music Ron.

One thing about this band is they are very humouristique which shows quite a lot in this one. They are amazing musicians and arrangers and no matter which song you react to, you'll be in for a surprise! :-) Jonah is an amazing singer which doesn't get showcased as much in this one - check out "Hit me", "Rock you" or "Thriller" if you want to see one of their covers. "Next to you" has lot of choir stuff - all sung by Jonah. If you want to check out another scandinavian gem try the Danish band "The Savage Rose" - they've been around since 1967 with the leadsinger Annisette still going strong today 75 years old dancing and singing barefoot. They were offered several big record deals in the US but declined because it included performing for the US soldiers and they were and still are very anti-war.

Glad you have found Dirty Loops, and like them! You are most welcome to the Dirty Loops world, or rabbit hole as many refer to it as.
Since you want more of Jonah's voice, Next to you or Breakdown are good choices. Next to you is the more popular song. Work shit out is very unpredictable, and very nice indeed, Jonah's playing is quite wonderful.
You sort of have to get used to Dirty Loops, since they have carved out a bit of their own genre by combining many, and "loopifying" it all.
You could also listen to Rock You. Don't miss the very last note in it.
Then Coffee break is over, maybe, in the future. Short, just for fun, only instrumental, wobbling keyboard, written and recorded in a day or so, I believe.

It's understandeble that It's hard to listen to Jonahs singing here, because all singing is layered in multi- harmonies, all sung by Jonah. You should try reacting to "Rock You" were there is plenty of him singing. Nice reaction by the way 👍

The song you chose is not the most typical Dirty Loops song and should see more as a parody, and a fun reason to let the bassist Henrik shine in this usual way. More let´s say normal songs by them would be Work shit out, Turbo, Thriller and Next to you. Dirty Loops are all about having fun, and then sometimes songs like this happen. 🙂

Its "Air-en" on drums and "Hen-rik!" on bass. 😅 They get "criticized" (not really) for not having a guitar player. This song showcases Aron showing why they don't need a guitar. Their humor was all three playing double instruments like Aron's two neck bass, a tribute to 80s rock and a bit of parody as well.
