Man! This video was such a blessing!! I am so happy I found this. I have a 2014 Durango. It overheated about a year ago and I paid some guy to come to my place and fix it- he charged my family $600 dollars. When I told him, it broke again (which it shouldn't have) he said he would come and charge me $800 to fix again. Came across this video and fixed the radiator by myself yesterday! It is people like you who are a true blessing to peoples lives and I pray you are blessed for sharing this video and information 🙏🏼 Thank you!!
Awww that’s so cool I appreciate that thank you so I also had to replace mine a second time bought a really cheap on the first time and it cracked but this is the most heart warming comment I’ve read all year thank you 😊 your awesome
What he forgot to mention. you need to take off all 10mm bolts (6 in total)on top brace (2) on top of each side & (2) on inside beneath front grill, along with (2) 13mm which he mentioned with the cross bracing in front. He also didn't show the radiator is connected to condenser by (4) push clip 2 on each side of radiator which holds the condenser tight to radiator. Once they are pinched off you can easily remove the radiator which also sits in slit on the drivers side as well. I try and upload some pics for better explanation. But for the most part he was pretty spot on but would need to show the hard stuff so people can know. I just changed mine out using his video so it was pretty helpful. I have 2015. Good luck
Is taking off the fan easy for this model? I have to prepare to take the fan off a 2013 citadel and will it be identical to the one you fixed in the video?
yes its pretty easy there is two clips at the top of the fan one on each side push those clips in with a flat head screw driver and you will be able to slide the fan up
The fact that you can do this all with one hand while holding a camera in the other, that’s impressive. And it gives me hope that I can easily do this when needed.
@@mobeatsmo Got it done today, took me an hour or so. I value my weekends so decided to tackle this after work. I was also going to install the external relay for my fuel pump and received a box of Ziploc bags instead of a relay. I need 1 or 2 more years out of my Durango before I get a new vehicle. Thanks for the video.
Glad to hear that you got it done! A box of ziploc bags tho that’s wild lol. Just keep taking care of her and you will get that 2years out her thanks for watching

Did you have to drain AC to replace the radiator?
You don’t have to drain the ac system
My radiator started leaking today and not looking forward to this. I will watch the video again on my pc to get ready for this.
You got this it’s not bad at all

Is it the same with a 2017 Durango sxt 3.6 model
Yes
I think I need to replace the fan. When is running is cool but when I stop at a red light it goes up to 226 temperature max
What you think?
Did you ever replace your fan, and if so, how hard /difficult was it to do?
🔥
After I replaced mine it overheated but wasn’t overheating before just had a leak
You have air in your system you must bleed the system
My leak is in the exact same place lol
Wow that’s crazy this was the factory radiator too
@mobeatsmo same here never been replaced before. Maybe they are just faulty. Buuut I mean mine is 12 years old lol
