I agree, it’s Amazing how he gets the best talent for the songs.

I am super grateful that I stumbled upon Ayreon on TH-cam during the pandemic. I went from "who is Ayreon" to being in Tilburg for five days last September in a bit less then a year. And I will be there for the next show, too. I can't praise the Ayreonauts enough for how welcoming of a community they are. And the artists are a part of this family. And as was already suggested, you should definitely check out Plan Nine. It's a completely different sound from Ayreon, but really well done. I can't wait for the live show.
Thanks for "sticking" to AYREON. If I'm not mistaken you also need to watch another new one of Arjen & Robert Soeterboek's project "PLAN NINE". As Robert Soeterboek and Arjen sifted through their 30-year-old cassette tapes containing their demos, they stumbled upon a bluesy, unfinished piece featuring just Arjen's guitar and Robert's voice. He had completely forgotten about it, but felt it had the potential to be something special. Now Arjen is glad he pursued it, because *_"Before The Morning Comes"_* : th-cam.com/video/2l0-yHau5QY/w-d-xo.html ....... turned out to be one of the album's highlights! ALBUM: The Long Lost Tapes ........ OUT ON: May 17th 2024. (pre-ordering possible)
by far my favorite singer on that stage is Daniel (one w/ the glasses) from Pain of salvation, you should check out them playing Martius nauticus II live, it will blow you away
I don't listen to Ayreon but it feels like Christmas when all the musicians and vocalists involved gather up on that stage. Arjen always gets the best people for his project.
@@MattsMoshPit1 Can you believe that the Ayreon project was originally supposed to be a collaboration between Arjen and none other than BRUCE DICKINSON?? But Arjen 'made a mistake' by leaking some bits and pieces of their first meant-to-be collaboration, to which the Dickinson management decided to withdraw from the project altogether. BIG MISTAKE! Lucky for us though, because that was the birth of the Ayreon project!! Meanwhile, Bruce himself has sung a number of existing Ayreon songs (maybe 1 or 2 years ago) together with Arjen anyway. And this collaboration has also been released on album!
Ayreon is like one of these crossover films that Marvel and the like are doing, one just goes "oooooh I know this singer!" I love this video and I have preordered the Bluray, hope I was fast enough to get Arjen's autograph, too. 01011001 is one of my favourite albums, it's not just the first Ayreon album I heard, but also the first time I heard Anneke and Tom S. Englund, now both are in my top 10 singers. This song is the last of the album, and what a way to finish it! Also I find it so cool, in the end everyone is singing and it's a lot of voices, but I can still hear Simone 😅
As an autograph collector, I really hope you are one of the lucky ones who get the autograph. I feel like I do need to check out a full Ayreon album to get the full experience. What should I start with?
@@MattsMoshPit1 I think any album you pick would be a good initiation, so to speak. I am really partial to 01011001, but also Flight of the Migrator. And The Human Equation. And the rest. I feel there is no bad Ayreon album. And yeah I think I will start collecting more autographs, I have so far a signed Induction CD and yesterday I got my autographed card from Blind Channel 🤘 Any advice on how to keep and display them so that they don't fade?
It all depends on the autograph. Anything frame worthy should be in a sun resistant/UV Ray glass frame. The vast majority of my autographs are in photo albums. They are easy to store and fun to go through every once in a while. My main source of autographs is via the mail. They call it (TTM or through the mail). There are tons of resources out there, but you basically send the artist a self addressed envelope and in my case a picture to have signed and sent back. For me it is a way to tell people I admire that they did something that was important for me or my friends and family in my letter of request. Believe it or not the success rate is pretty high, based on the address resources out there. In the case of bands a lot of times you can send directly to the club or arena they are playing. Anyway that was probably way too much information. It’s a fun hobby for me.
@@MattsMoshPit1 I have a few priced autographs there is my paper bracelet I got at my first metal concert and it has an autograph from Zora the vocalist of Blackbriar. My Dark Euphony vinyl is signed by all members of Blackbriar, my wallet is signed by members of Smash Into Pieces, my phone case is signed by the Beast In Black guys and finally I have The Universal Migrator part 2: Flight Of The Migrator by Ayreon with Arjen's signature. As for albums of Ayreon to check out I highly recommend their first album The Final Experiment because honestly it has my favourite Ayreon character ever which is Ayreon himself, I will let you discover for yourself what his deal is. But I have written an entire analysis post about him because I love him that much.
I found Ayreon during the pandemic. The music had to grow on me quite a bit, but after I had seen the Universe live show and heard the concert being announced I knew I had to get there, no matter what. I managed to see 2 evening shows, absolutely amazing, and whenever another one is going to take place I'll make it possible somehow to be there again. Arjen managed to get almost all of the 16 (I think) singers from the studio album on stage. The ones missing were Bob Catley (Magnum), Jorn Lande, Steve Lee (Gotthard, RIP) and Floor (she was in the late stage of her pregnancy). The substitutes he used did amazingly well, including Brittney, who sang Floor's parts. BTW preorders of the DVD or BlueRay are already possible. Now I am waiting for your reaction on Plan Nine.....
I haven't followed your channel until now, but have you reacted to anything from the Dutch symphonic rock band Within Temptation? If not, here's some background info: - The singer, Sharon den Adel, is completely self-taught. She practiced every day for 4 hours a day, ever since before the band came together in 1996. And she still practices virtually every day! - Sharon has a relationship with the band's former guitarist Robert Westerholt - Sharon sings the role of Native American on the Ayreon album Into the Electric Castle - Sharon has also contributed to albums by other artists, such as Avantasia, Delain, the Belgian version of Night of the Proms (2009, the year with Roxette, OMD and John Miles), and After Forever - The concert from which this video was taken was the very first in its kind in the Dutch metal scene - During this historic Black Symphony concert, Sharon had a severe cold, yet she insisted on performing!!!
