Thank you so much! I bought 2 from Amazon at a discounted price because they had damaged 'boxes'. When I got them, they turned out to be 'opened' boxes and I'm not sure all the pieces are there.. Since I have to pay someone else to put them together for me, it's not like they will just be able to stop in the middle of the project and guess what might be needed. Watching your video should help in directing how to put them together finally, assuming all the pieces are there. Thanks again!! GREAT!
Thanks for the reply and for watching. Do you know if it came with the packing list that shows how many of each item it should have? If not, I can probably find mine a D get you a copy of it.
Thanks for the swell video! Yes, it has a sealed bag of screws and the instructions. But, all the wood is jumbled in the box/es that are haphazardly scotch-taped closed. So I think someone emptied the boxes and then just tried to put everything(?) back in. I'm paying my daughter's beau this weekend to attempt putting at least one together; we'll see it is missing any wooden parts. I hope not! Thanks for the Gorilla Glue hint.
Hi Ed! The cover board is the flat cedar board that is installed directly under the roof. The underside of the cover board rests on top of the quilt box. It looked like the side with the white water-based stain was installed facing down, making the unstained side exposed under the roof. Could have been the lighting, though. The video is great, though! I have several of these hives and the bees are very happy in them. I'm glad someone is posting videos on these, they're priced well and a great alternative to traditional Langstroth hives.

You installed the cover board upside down.
not sure which part of the video you are referring to but it is assembled correctly - the camera angle may make parts seem distorted
