I love how Shadow appears, does nothing, walks away, and then isn't there for the rest of the game

Fun fact: Sonic Boom is so broken because the programmers weren't informed it'd be a Wii U game until they were almost done with it, and the engine used to make the game isn't supported on Wii U.

I heard they were told it was for another console until the... last four months? Then the company said it had to be a Wii U game and were forced to start from scratch.

Well, I'm sure it'll be comforting for you to know that you didn't actually waterboard yourself and I really wish Arin had actually researched that form of torture before running his mouth to Ross about it. The whole point of waterboarding is to make someone feel like they're drowning without actually drowning them, so a towel is placed over the victim's face before they start pouring the water, which prevents them from breathing, which is then removed for a few breaths before reapplying the cloth and repeating the process (they're also hung on a reverse incline, but that's unrelated to the drowning sensation, as far as I know, it's just to make it feel worse)
Anyone else find it ironic that the worst Sonic game ever is also the one Arin got the least pissed off at?

Charge202 Id say it’s more like “skyward sword is a complete and polished game, but the story is repetitive, game mechanics are boring and/or reliant entirely on motion controls, and Fi is a pest who pops out every two seconds and tells you exactly what you just experienced with added technobabble” it’s not a bad game the way Sonic Boom is a bad game (I.e. everything works, you can’t break the game very easily) but the actual content of the story/gameplay can be boring, especially if you’re Arin, an ADHD guy who will get shit on no matter what he says about it. As someone with ADHD... repetitive story elements are torture on my brain. They bore the hell out of me. I’m sure Arin’s in the same camp. Sonic Boom is actually interesting; there’s little puzzles and random tasks and the open world is full of color and charm, but it’s the lack of polish that makes it terrible. Skyward sword is so pretty, and the game is finished and polished, but the story and world are lifeless.
I think being able to cheat through the game and get around any bullshit helped a lot.
Could be because while the worst one, the gameplay isn't so glitchy that your flung off the stage and have automatic gameovers and other such nonsense.

Mostly it’s because of lackluster basic standards. Goldfish can’t flourish in bowls, and at the very least your tank should have one gallon of water for every inch long a fish is. More is always better. Plus fish are susceptible to stress like any other animal, and there’s a lot of stress in getting shipped to pet stores, being stored in cramped display tanks, and then getting put into a brand new tank with totally different water and usually not enough hides or plants. Plus, people often assume snails or bottomfeeders just clean your tank for you instead of doing water changes and tank cleanings.
Poké-Maniac Chris it’s all about space. As long as water meets air somewhere, oxygen will dissolve into it. Bubblers and filters add further oxygenation to the water, but aren’t strictly necessary. What fish usually lack is space. Goldfish (particularly Comet goldfish) grow until the space confines them, I had a comet I got from a friend that grew to nearly six inches in my ten gallon tank, and I had to give him away because he was getting too big to move around the tank comfortably. If you were to get a comet or other (non specially bred) goldfish, and kept upgrading your tank as it grows, you could probably keep one around for several years barring stress/illness.
Everything. It's incredibly frustrating as a fish keeping enthusiast lol. Most goldfish need 30+ gallons of water to themselves, and they're very messy fish so they need a robust biological system established in their tank (a cycled tank) to remove the ammonia from their waste and keep them from poisoning themselves to death. Fish are not easy or low responsibility pets, y'all.

Yeah, it was probably part of a scene they skipped with the Knuckles glitch. Because that is in the game. Along with a bunch of other cutscenes and sidequests that just never happened in the playthrough.
It did happen - it happens during the floating gold platform parts. And is immediately resolved literally five seconds later when sonic pops out of the rocks like a goddamn daisy

What needs to happen is someone should hire an army of game developers to straight up FORCE quality control in the Sega corporation. That way, they don't get greedy and make half-assed games. They can FORCE them to wait at least 2 years for another major Sonic game, and FORCE anti-greed practices. If they don't, they will violate the contract and get booted off the company.
If not that, Nintendo should just buy Sonic Team. They'll give a better environment than Sega ever did.

@1:21:26 That editing on the subsequent intro jingle had me laugh so hard I stopped making noise, and the abil8ity to regain breath in between bursts ever so gradually depleted my reserves and started to get tunnel vision and lose some color for a bit. Although, in the end, the whole experience remanded me of how refreshingly mentally healthy and good feeling a deep laugh has.

I just *actually* watched it and only now have I realized that the Sonic getting crushed by rocks death scene never actually happened and Shadow showed up once in the beginning and didn't appear for the rest of the game.
