Bryce Young rookie passer rating was better than Trevor Lawrence but we didnt see anyone saying Trevor was “close to the worst qb bust in history.”

I usually give a young QB 3 years to assess.
If by Year 3 Bryce Young is not playing at a good level then perhaps the Panthers should move on.

difference between bryce and zach tho is their situation plus bryce has a good attitude moving forward taking criticism well and trying his best to correct his mistakes whereas zach atleast early on ignored criticism and only got angry when he was told he was wrong. with that attitude in the locker room around the people that drafted him along with his terrible play is what lead him to getting booted out so early. the panthers KNOW they didn't do bryce any justice and know he'll do whatever it takes to improve, unlike zach wilson with the jets.

trevor lawrence literally had 17 interceptions his rookie year lol , i think people dislike bryce because of bama and dislike carolina bc the media is just harping on them
its hard to evaluate a guy when literally everything around him was trash sacked 62 times escaped 50 more none of the recievers got open literally every pass had to be perfect coaching/scheme didnt match personnel at all oh and he was a rookie a vet couldn't of done shit with that

I wish teams would give qbs time to develop and build around them instead of throwing them into the fire and expecting them to be great especially a qb who is as physically small as him. Also him even putting in effort puts him above Jamarcus Russell. He definitely needs help though, and is being unfairly compared to CJ Stroud who went into a better situation with a team who at least put pieces around him.
If you give up the house for someone they have to be ready to go day one.

To say it's the worst of any 1st overall pick is a big reach. Trevor Lawrence had a very similar year before turning it around and a lot of quarterbacks who weren't "too small" got hurt.
Their biggest fuck up was that if they hadn't traded for the 1st overall pick they could've kept DJ Moore and picked up another key player and this past draft they could've had Caleb Williams

the panthers shouldve started Andy Dalton last year, and probably this year. He played good for them.
dalton started 1 game last year and had to toss the ball 58 times to get 361yds and was also scrambling for his life the whole game as well... but yeah I'd hope the 13+ year vet played better than the rookie
@@kungfupurpz But he tossed the ball that many times due to the team racking up false start penalties on the road in a hostile environment. No reason to run the ball on 2 and 20 or 3rd and 20 over and over. If the game was anywhere else then he definitely doesnt throw that many times nor did he have any interceptions throwing that much. We all know how Bryce Young's Rookie year in 2023 wasn't his FAULT because he's didn't get or received any help on the O-Line or anything like that but in 2024 I believe that he will be BreakOut this season he's a brand new coach brand new O-Line new WR in Xavier Leggett 1st Round 32nd pick WR South Carolina as well as a couple of 2nd Rounders Johnathan Brooks & Ja'Tavion Sanders University of Texas the Offense will be amazing this season if the Panthers can play there cards right then they could be a Playoff Team but not now soon very soon hopefully a Super Bowl Contenders in the future 0:48

The o line literally ranked middle of the league last year in every statistic last year. Definitely not the best but not an excuse why bryce so bad.

@@KrichProductionsthe fact they have a coach that literally just spent the last two years rescuing the careers of QBs that were close to being out of the league. One as a QB coach then Baker Mayfield as his offensive coordinator last year when the Bucs went to the playoffs.
Then they got some pretty good offensive talent as well to add to the team and the entire defensive coaching staff returned so their is continuity with a defense that had them in a lot of games last year despite the worst offense in the NFL.

Literally a top five receiver, a first round that was the no.1 pick in the following season and a 2nd round pick next year that could also end up being one of the first picks in that round. Looking at the dysfunctional panthers in 2023; I don't think Tom Brady in his prime could have done much better. Did Bryce make some mistakes? Absolutely. Was he put in the worst possible position for a rookie quarterback? Absolutely.
It’s very obvious of why he’s 1st year was so bad look at what he had to work with look at the awful coaching he had there was no success to be had last year. Bryce will be fine and he’s about to show why he was picked #1 he has what he needs to succeed and he has a head coach that is all in on Bryce the chemistry is already there between the two 2024 will be a totally different Carolina Panthers

Bryce Young is looking to be a Jamarcus Russell level type of bust. David Tepper of the Carolina Panthers saw fools gold in the S2 Cognitive Tests and thought that it guaranteed success. At least Russsell had won more than two games in his start.
At this point, Young really needs to win a lot more games this year or he risks being out of the league completely in 2025. I heard a sports commentator put it like this: "you traded Bryce Young's offensive tools for Bryce Young himself."
