👍👍👍 glad you were able to recover the logs and make something nice. Thanks for sharing the story, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that this goes on, but I don’t understand people like this. If I were the judge on the case, I’d sentence him a year for every growth ring!
The same thing happened to my Grand Father back in 50s not sure what year, he lived in Pound VA. The law found his tree in Georgia, the rings was matched up with the stump, and my grand farther had is own sawmill so he was glad to get it back!
I'm glad he got sent up the river, if not for ripping of your buddy. I'll be interested to see that butcher block once the wood has cured and you build the rascal.
In the '90s, some people stole 2 walnut trees from Purdue University. They were over 5 ft in diameter. My dendrology professor, who had based his life's research on black walnuts based on those 2 trees wept when he saw the stumps. It must have taken a crew to fell those giants and remove them from the woods. It would have taken a large mill to cut something that big.
I just wanted to let you know there is a kit to attach the manual log hold to the automatic ones so they all move at the same time. The kit is not that expensive.
Calling them lumberjacks is like calling an idiot in the woods with a gun a hunter. We had a thief steal 3 huge red oak trees from our property. The DNR matched the stumps to logs at a sawmill and arrested the thief. He was let go after paying us 3 times what he got. I would rather he had been sent to prison. He would not tell me how he removed those 3' diameter logs on his 3/4 ton pickup.
This same guy has continued stealing trees in our county. He just gets a few months in jail and returns to his old ways. One day he’s gonna turn up missing for good.
Man, Cruz grew a lot in 2 years! I enjoyed this video, Jeremy!

Walnut, oak and other hardwoods sell for more than weaker woods.
Hello from Piqua Ohio
Hello Stanley, first to comment buddy. Thanks a lot!
Thief can steal logs from more than one spot see if any others are missing might have also stolen it from someone else.

turn up the moosic.
How the hell you go to prison for stealing logs?? And 3 times at that!!
This current time he got caught taking a bunch from Tar Hollow.
@@CairnCreek thank god for the trail cam! He could have cleaned that place out
He honestly would have. He cleaned out Miller Lane a few years ago.
Some logs are high value, making the crime a felony. Some walnut can be worth several thousand.
They can match up rings on the logs to tree sump it was taken from, he explained that in audio.
come on, how could they not like what they see.glad he's back in prison
Yep!
