It is heartbreaking that this movie got such bad reviews... I looked at the reviews and went to the movie opening night and tried really hard to pick out what people were hating on... but I couldn't. It had a fantastic story, fantastic characters, the visuals and effects were amazing, the editing and directing were great, and the soundtrack was awesome!!
And when they say Emily Browning, do they mean the actress in this? I had no idea she sang! WOOO

This is only movie in a LONG time that I actually got off my lazy ass and saw in the theater. It was worth it.
I think it sucks sooooo much how this movie is just constantly being hated on. I LOVED it. And this song - and the sequence it was played with in the beginning - started things off amazingly. I didn't realize it was Emily Browning singing this; she's got a great voice.

God, Emily Browning turned this song into a masterpiece.
I listen to this song and think of that smell after rain, that powerful and heavenly aroma of wet air. Also, I think of walking in the woods with this smell as well.
God, it nearly brings a tear to my eye.

i agree. i just the movie and thought that the story was confusing but i still really liked it. its just a movie that you really have to pay attention to but in all it was great the special affects and the fighting scenes were awesome.

This is The ONLY thing I like about This Movie.
I dont know how ppl hate on this movie, its amazing, for one this movie had to have parts cut cuz they wanted to make it pg13, there is suppost to be a "Sex Scene" between the High Roller and Babydoll were she pretty much takes over him and uses it to her advantage, look at one of the last scenes when Babydoll gets lobotomized how Jon Ham character freaks out cuz the way she looked at him, she wanted him to do it and was giving him that look like she wanted it.

@tsquared226 Yes the Dvd will have "the real movie" the theater version was cut so they could keep it pg-13.
@brokenleaf09 - I saw it 6 hours ago on a 55 inch screen TV with surround sound and it was better, mostly because I saw the extended cut. It put a little more light into the story then what I would imagine the theaters would have.

I think I finally understand (though don't agree with) all of the hate. The fanboys dumping on this film are like amateur chefs who throw all of their favorite food into the pot thinking they're gonna love the end product. Unfortunately, when they taste it, they realize it wasn't what they wanted so they dump it in the toilet & tell everyone else not to eat it. Me? I think it's one of the greatest things I've ever eaten & I'm gonna have a third helping.
the best part of the song is the organs getting higher into there notes!!
Thumbs up if you thought they should have put "When the Levees Break" and "Panic Switch" (ie the songs from the trailer) on the soundtrack.

The movie was like if you took every good part of every action movie and every action game and put them together with some insanely hot girls! which is wat they did....but it worked SOOO WELLLL!!!!!!
@brokenleaf09 11 times? Wow. It's only been out for about a week & a half, that means you've seen it an average of once a day. I mean, I loved the film, but not 11 times in less than 14 days loved it. But yeah, it is a really good movie. I really don't understand why everyone hates this movies. This movie is pretty much a greatest hits of geek cinema, and yet the people it is suited for seem to dislike it the most. It's a shame bcs we finally got something new & exciting & it's gonna flop.

Already did man, and what I saw was just beautiful: A battle field, me in in body armor with a kilij sword, a chakram ring blade and Katar daggers. Also, White flames spurted out of my hands. My friend, I was home. :)

I gotta say Sucker Punch wasn't all that great. What I did like, though, besides the absolutely dazzling fighting sequences, was the music Snyder used. It gave off a very trippy feel (especially when he used White Rabbit) and I throughly enjoyed it. This song is one of the best remixes for it that I have ever heard. For those thinking of going out to the theaters to see it, wait for it on DVD. Just settle with buying the soundtrack because it is, in the best sense of the word, epic.

THIS MOVIE WAS THE SHIT. It's funny... I heard so many bad things about this movie... that they didn't like it because "It made no sense and they didn't get it" Just like what I heard about Shutter Island (and I completely love that movie). Maybe you should watch other less complicated movies like Sex in the City...
