Being able to disable the audio controls auto-appearing on the Watch screen is great. Same with being able to make the last app used persistent - I often have a grocery list on my Watch and tick stuff off while I’m shopping and would constantly have to re-open the list app as I moved around the store - that one’s a real sanity-saver!
Hey man love your videos. Just got the watch, I sometimes get notifications of texts on watch, sometimes not...how do I fix?
I’m gonna be honest, these kinds of vids usually don’t have any new info for me, but this one was pretty useful. I disabled the auto wake audio nonsense and learned why I can dimly wake my screen with the crown. Thanks for the info!
What I really want to know though is why can’t I change the goddamn ringtone!?!!?!??

Unfortunately, the ringtone is exclusive to the cellular version of the watch.

It should be the default ringtone with cellular version.
Kunwar Ranhotra, you can’t. Hopefully there’ll be an update at some point that allows you to change the ringtone bit it’s currently not possible.
I got black stainless steel with the Milanese loop for Christmas. I'm in love! so pretty. Your tips are great Greg. Clear and concise. Aswell your explanations for why you choose options makes me think. "Hmm, Do I like having the play controls take over?" Keep the Apple Watch Vids coming!!

Good vid. Recently got a series 4 and one thing annoying me is that I can’t create a shortcut to turn on/off the wake screen on wrist raise option. I need to go to apps, general, walk screen... surely there is a quicker way? Why can the control centre be modified?
Also, anyone know why the ECG doesn’t work in the UK or how to activate it or make the app work?

Do you use a screen protector? I was pretty disappointed that the curve elite by ZAGG don’t touch sensitive. I thought my watch was broken.

I have an Apple Watch 4 best apple product I bought last year ...this has been such a great video some of the tips I new but there were few I didn't and I followed you instructions and activated them...thank you
If you're at the movies simply put it in theater mode so the screen doesn't light up everytime you lift you hand. I also use that mode while sleep tracking to save battery.

Carnel A What do you use for sleep tracking? I use Sleep++ , doesn’t have the best interface, but it has an awesome automatic tracking feature. Recognizes when you’ve gone to sleep and senses when you’re really up as you start to fiddle with your phone in the morning. No accessing the app, nothing - just works.
Marsorry Ickua I use SleepWatch. Largely because of all the free apps it gave me the most data. It has automatic sleep detection, auto logs base on when I stop my alarm or it sensing that my resting heart rate rises significantly. And the biggest thing it gives me trending data such as restfulness, heart rate dip, irregular sleep patterns, etc.

#5 - in your settings wake screen on crown up has to be turned on for this to work. And it is very useful when you have your wake screen on wrist raise turned off while in bed or like buddy said, in a theatre.
Can you delete all your text at once? And can your text be deleted on your phone and delete on your watch at the same time ?

Great video and awesome tips. The only thing I’m struggling with and the only tiny problem I have is that Mickey won’t talk 😂 My 4 year old is annoyed lol. Tried everything online and nothing lol.
Thank you 🙏 Try going to the settings on your apple watch, scroll down to sounds and haptics, scroll down again, and you should see a setting to make the mickey watch faces talk. Make sure that’s turned on. I hope that helps.

The tip about having the now playing icon at the top of the screen only works if the watch is connected to the phone. If you are playing music from the watch itself and you don’t have the phone nearby you dont get that icon. Shame as i thought that was a really cool feature, but turns out its not.
I need help, I don’t know what’s going on with my watch, it is kind of locked, I can unlock it and the only thing I get is the machine telling me the hour or date any time I touch it.

While I don’t know much about the Apple Watch or smart watches etc, I thought to ask cause you would know better than me.
In regards to the smart watch category. Is Apple one of the more dominant ones in terms of sales? Or are there other giant brands doing well in this category?
Apple is doing really well in the smart watch category. Their sales are really high, and I believe they’re the #1 watch maker period. Android wear literally cannot compete with the Apple Watch.
I didn’t even know there was an android smart watch.
And yeah? So Apple sells more watches than Rolex or swatch etc?
If I can slip in on this one - Apple is statistically world’s number 1 smart watch producer and what’s more number 1 producer of any kind of watches. Their biggest rivals are Samsung in the smartwatch market and Swatch in the conventional watch market. Interesting fact - Samsung makes almost no profit on their smart watches. They offer them basically only to offer a complete eco system together with their smartphones.
Yup bigger than rolex and swatch in terms of watches sold and total profit I believe.
Very interesting. I know we connected iPhone as the reason why e.g. Nokia, blockbuster, using DVDs, all been affected. But never really the focus on watches. Cause many even said, they don’t use watches anymore ever since using iPhones.

Hold your palm over the watch when you get a notification and you’ll feel a vibration then your watch will be on silent/vibrate

The ECG feature is only available in the US right now. Something to do with other countries health regulations.
