Looks really great, even if thick, but the movement 🙄🙄🙄 it's a modular chronograph which coming from GS is disapointing to say the least. I will wait for an integrated one to consider buying
I took the GS plunge about a month ago. Bought a GS spring drive chronograph from an AD. What a disappointment. The pushers and crown were really wobbly and loose, the clasp had a huge misaligned gap, it pinched the hairs on my arm. Their precision and fit and finishing just wasn’t on par with other brands for the price. It seems like the price was moving much faster than their overall watch making capability. I think GS thinks if they ask more people will think it’s a better product than it really is. It’s a shame, I think competition is great for all of us, but GS needs to step up their game.
I bought this exact tentagraph model being a watch “geek”. It did not serve me well coz after a week on my wrist, it gives me the same feeling as my Astron Seiko. Now I regret fully not going with my other option, Rolex Sea-Dweller 😢
@@Timeandtidewatchesor people considering this could also consider Astron Seiko. I have both and after owning both, I regret not going with Rolex Sea-Dweller 😢 being a watch geek doesn’t reward you anything.
@@raymondpratama7248 what have you been smoking? The GS movement is a modul on the top of their regular Springdrive three hands movement, cheap way of doing a chronograph, while the Zenith is a fully integrated one. So for now GS is countless miles behind
I have Astron and I tried it, looking closely it’s really special! Until you just wear it, it becomes just a Seiko. 😢 and after owning it, it just becomes a Seiko with another Grand word on it. 😓 I have to always look closely just to appreciate it. I should have just went on with the Rolex Sea-dweller, which was my 1st option. 😭
Honestly GS finally improve the looks of their chronograph. Previous models are so ugly...even their Astron model now are much better looking than previous models. Unfortunately their price is just getting ridiculously high too.
But, unlike the brand they aim to compete with (Rolex), you can actually buy these and even get a discount. My buddy got a white birch and tentagraph after waiting for several Rolex models from his AD for over a year and doesn't regret it in the slightest. They still present a good value. IMO.
@Ryan-cv9me I agree on the availability, but I don't think they will give any discount. Problem with a lot of these official stores they only want to sell at full RRP. They been trying to stop AD giving discount. Their aussie price is just way too expensive. You can get at least 1k cheaper overseas for the same item.
I will say this is grand seiko being lazy , why ? This is a modular chronograph, that’s why this watch is so big , I guess seiko just adjust the formula of their current modular chronograph lineup (ne86/88), to GS. Also they loose the style formula with this watch (again that’s what they can do with that big movement ) I would appreciate something more in the line of a patek chronograph with a snowflake or birch dial
An integrated chronograph movement would have definitely been cool, but considering the base the GS exclusive module has been attached to it is hard to be disappointed with a hi-beat dual-impulse escapement chrono. -Z
This watch is drop-dead gorgeous!!
This is a really beautiful looking watch!
Lovely piece.
This is my favourite watch release for the last few years.
Hodinkee is selling it right now for under 7k brand new
I'll just enjoy this one from afar🤩 since it is beyond my price comfort zone 😅
Mach 1 product. Anticipating mach 2 / 3's 41mm x 13mm or less. This piece is highly technical but at cost of UX
Hopefully the first of many fully mechanical GS chronographs 💪 -Z
"butter crisp". jumbo shrimp.
My thoughts entirely.😂
Switch to a nice dark blue or dark brown leather strap and the watch will look 10x better (Trust me).
Give me over any Rolex any time, any day.

If only there was the date at 430
I like it, but I'm not convinced about the lug length. They look too long. That said, the rest of the watch head looks great.
With my 6.5 inch wrist the lug-to-lug is not ideal, but the 51.5mm L2L length is mitigated by the case camber. -Z
@@Timeandtidewatchesis it a banana camber Zach😂😂😂
They need an integrated chrono that’s 40mm
Butter crisp? Seems a bit contradictory.
Seems like a watch captain boring would truly appreciate
Nailed it
Add to that you can save 6x the money buy purchasing Astron Seiko.

Cool watch but it seems that GS has taken a page from IWC's pricing book. Ridiculous.
It is rather fair considering it is a few thousand more than a watch with the 9SA5 -Z
True true

Not bad but I'd take a Zenith chronomaster sport over this any day of the week
A fair option to say the least
It's not even close since the GS chronograph is a modul, It's like comparaing a Kia and a BMW Motorsport
lol zenith movement are way inferior than this one.
