    Itis always wise to take a child or a grandchild in case the battery runs out on the steady winder. So much easier on the back.

    Hi Graham. My wife made me a check list so I don't forget stuff. One time left the waste container at home with the check list.🙄 thanks for sharing 👍

      Thanks for watching. I bet you were popular!
      The thing is, it's ALWAYS in the front locker, so we never check; why would we? It's always there :-) I like to put things in the caravan, know where they are and never remove them. Did it once with my club hammer, took it out to use in the house, and forgot to put it back. I bought another for the house, as it's hard to put awning pegs into a hard standing without a hammer :-)

    So what have we learnt from this video? 1. Don't ignore Road Closed signs.... 2. Try not to loose/forget any of the caravan essentials!
    We live relatively near to a small airfield (much like that one) so we hear the aircraft quite often, they even fly over our house (thankfully not too low)
    To be fair I thought you were going to throw the pine cone at Mandy and blame it on a squirrel or other wildlife!
    Another very entertaining video! 👍

    How can you lose the battery for the drill😂 we normally keep it on the drill. I will add our drill is 12 volts so we can charge it in the van via the 12 volt socket which is handy because one day it died has we were setting off but charged it in the van as we were going along so it was ready when we arrived. You mentioned Australia and New Zealand, I follow a Kiwi site ‘Adventures with Rosie’ it’s interesting to see how different their vans are compared to ours. They are built for more off road work and seem a bit more sturdy.

    • @CaravanVlogger
      @CaravanVlogger  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. My question exactly, how did "we" lose a battery. Well, it fell out of the car; Mandy picked it up but obviously left the battery in the road (it was dark), so when I went to use it...
      At the end of the vlog you can hear Mandy say "She's found it" that's her speaking to the person we visited; it was on the road outside their house :-)
      My drill is 18v. Yes, I'm family with that channel.

    One of the first sites we ever stayed on. My Wife had a training course nearby so we set the van up for 2 weeks there.

    Hi Graham, still watching since we bought our Bailey almost 4 years ago. Pretty experienced now having travelled a large part of the North Island of New Zealand using our van throughout the year. Unfortunately in Auckland right now our van is more a submarine with the flooding we are currently experiencing.
