Sonic and Eggman having their origins connected is a good concept but how is presented in the bible is kinda stupid. Sonic Prime isn't about the multiverse, its about the "shatterverse" which is specifically the main sonic universe shattered into smaller versions. It's unrelated to actual parallel universes
But on the other hand, there was a tails tube that implied that the multiverse exists, and probably this would be the best outcome. This way Sonic media can explore different versions of the lore and do its own thing, so I think thats cool

Not mainstream, but still. Kinda funny
It would have been awesome of the two Sonic's met in a crossover game, where some overexplained absurdity happens in the comic world that leaks over to the game world requiring you to use game sonic's much more limited abilites to defeat a foe beyond the scope of what he normally faces...
Well tbh, Everything in Sonic the Hedgehog is not canon because of one game. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood! Due to multiple lawsuits from Ken Penders like the Nocturnus Clan looking too similar to his own characters, they never made a sequel and they said that it's not canon. Another thing to note is that Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric originally known as Sonic Synergy was going to feature a backstory of Sonic the Hedgehog. But unfortunately SEGA disapproved of it due to the fact that they wanted to tell his origin story themselves. Especially disapproving more scientists and only have Tails and Eggman. Even disapproving having more Hedgehogs and Echidnas. That's just messed up. up
My ideal Sonic Canon Would Call The Planet Mobius But The Lore Is Mostly Based On The Japanese Canon And The Games. And The Anthros Would Live In Islands While The Humans Would Live In Continents.
There’s something so silly and stupid about Eggman and Sonic just dropping their incredible experiments to get lunch and fusing with a rotten egg lmfao
also c'mon , you barely scratched the surface of the japanese canon and how a lot of infformattion of japanese manuals of games that is sonic 2, sonic 3 , and knuckles chaotix relates to the echidna lore in sonic adventure , you need to see english translations of those manuals in sonic retro , seriously i have no idea why people keep ignoring that lore
The best thing to do is put everything (that is possible) togheter in harmony, making sense to every aspect in Sonic's oringins. For example: The reason Sally Acorn being Sonic's friend and falling in love with him is due to Sonic saving her from being a badnik when she was a little child (back in Sonic 1). This implies two things: Sonic is a bit older than Sally, there is a age gap beetween them. And second, the little animals Sonic saves are Mobian babies.
Great video. The question I'm left after all this is where Sonic X fits into all of this, since in that continuity there are two separate worlds, earth and Sonic's world, which seems to be different from how the games are, where humans and sentient animals share one world, although humans barring Eggman haven't been in a main series Sonic game since Unleashed as far as I know.
Sonic X would likely be on similar terms to the Movie since Sonic is from a different planet and thus those 2 continuities are different universes but are still canon
Fun Fact: In Archie Comics There Is An Universe Named "The In Another Time, In Another Place" looks similar to Mobius Prime, sharing the same inhabitants (such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Eggman) and locations (such as Green Hill Zone and Little Planet). However, the story of the In Another Time, In Another Place follows more closely that from the mainline Sonic the Hedgehog video game titles, serving as adaptations for that series' video games, sharing events that include, but are not limited to, the Little Planet incident and the Time Eater incident Lol (Yeah Game Universe Literally Does Exist As A Paralel Universe For Archie's Universe (Also Called Prime Zone)
Draft One of the Sonic Origin Bible or story whatever it's called, literally had me Lol'ing , a half eaten egg and the Chaos Emeralds being quantified into his DNA and essence, reversing his name to Robotnick... Some pretty unhinged stuff lmao
I wish you went a little deeper into SoJ lore, it has some wacky stuff too. But when it came to games, they state something fun - that Eggman and Sonic already knew each other before Sonic 1, except Sonic never took him seriously before then - apparently Eggman really sucked at being a villain at first! To the point that Sonic felt kind of an affection to him, like he was his goofy playmate. This puts Sonic's line "youve turned into a big time villain, doctor!" in SA2 into certain perspective. Eggman finally proved to Sonic what a threat he couod be. Additionally, in japanese version, when Eggman fires at the moon, Sonic says: "He's way over his head!" meaning, he thought Eggman doesn't even understand what hes doing and what trouble he puts himself into. Sonic's cockiness to Eggman is more like a paternalistic outlook, he still saw him as that goofy guy who failed his plans before Sonic 1. Well, anyway, thats my headcanon i guess.
I have my own canon for different regions. Or more like a fanon than canon. US canon: Archie comics. Cartoons and manuals are alternate realities. JP canon: Sonic X. Manga,OVA and manuals are alternate realities. I also include Sonic Omens for continuity for Sonic X. EU canon: Sonic the comic. The manuals are alternate realities. I also include sonic the comic online for this one. Modern canon: All of the games and idw comics. Some spinoffs like sonic chronicles are different realities. You can also make up your timeline because sonic isn't zelda and it would make sense.
18:22 everything is canon doesn’t exactly mean everything is canon to one continuity. We haven’t heard of that or not yet. They definitely wouldn’t make boom canon right? RIGHT?
I think how Sega is doing Sonic lore by saying everything is cannon through different dimensions is very interesting and fun to think about. Because if your an Archie fan and if you love the Sonic Archie comics then good news for you, that world and it's characters you love could be in another dimension. Same thing with the cartoon versions of Sonic. Sonic Underground, The adventures of Sonic the hedgehog, Sonic Satam, Sonic X and the Sonic Boom cartoon too. And for me, I always like to imagine that Sonic. exe can exist in a different dimension and not in the real Sonic timeline. Plus with Fleetway Super Sonic in the fleetway comics I want to imagine the same thing too. 😊👍 Besides I love the idea of different dimensions and alternate realities in fiction. Its always something that makes your fictional stories interesting and existing for people that love your fictional characters.
A: Sonic Prime is not a true multiverse, it's just Sonic's original world shattered into multiple off shoots because he shattered the Paradox Prism and split his world into multiple worlds, these worlds did not exist before he shattered his universe, meaning Sonic Prime is not true Multiverse Travel, if it was then the normal world would be ok and we'd see Sonic travel to pre existing continuities like Boom or Underground B: if you want proof of this theory, we dont see any versions of Sonic or Shadow because they were either the cause of the incident or escaped it meaning they weren't shattered into multiple versions of themselves (so how would you expect to see any of the other continuities that have Sonic or Shadow in them if the worlds we see clearly DONT have them in any!!!!) The sonic lore is a mess now. Dont get me wrong, before sonic frontiers there were some issues in games like shadow the hedgehog, but that wasnt a big deal. was inspired by the draft where Sonic is from Nebraska. Also, the fact that they renamed the penguin
to Tux is extra funny to me. Because it means I can say the mascot of Linux is canon to Sonic.
And mind you, the Linux kernel was already around by 1991. Not mainstream, but still. Kinda funny
even back then as a kid I couldn't get over the fact that 14:44, they just forgot to draw "brown" Sonic's ears lol
Sonic will always be from Mobius and battle Robotnik in my book
What would’ve happened if Kintober hadn’t been holding that egg? He would’ve become Dr. Man.
He wouldn’t be Egg the Man in that case.
Dr. Evil or Dr. Chaos is my guess.
BAH
hahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahaha
5:32 I mean, it makes sense though. He needs all of that since he's constantly draining his energy
Do you have time to talk about our Lord and Saviour, Sonic The hedgehog?
It would have been awesome of the two Sonic's met in a crossover game, where some overexplained absurdity happens in the comic world that leaks over to the game world requiring you to use game sonic's much more limited abilites to defeat a foe beyond the scope of what he normally faces...
Sounds like a fun (or possibly frustrating) fangame.
@@robertlupa8273That's EXACTLY what it sounds like.
That's just messed up. up
This is extremely interesting and awesome to me I never knew that much about this.
My ideal Sonic Canon Would Call The Planet Mobius But The Lore Is Mostly Based On The Japanese Canon And The Games. And The Anthros Would Live In Islands While The Humans Would Live In Continents.
Love the video and keep up the great work chaomix
Holy shit... So Dr.Robotnick is not only the creator essentially of Sonic, but the catalyst of why hes Blue?? Mind=Blown
2:31
“*Geeks out”
“But that’s cliché.”
“God knows, that’s far from your goal.”
Aka, the Sonic Encyclo-speed-ia lol
Super sonic: 😃
Fleet way super sonic:💀
I'd argue that while Sonic X isn't canon, certain elements are.
Yah, and isn't Mobius like the future version of Earth? I may be mistaken but I swear I have heard that Mobius is just the future for Earth.
@@randomwolfygirl In the Archie Comics, Mobius is the post-apocalyptic version of Earth.
For some reason, the idea of Sonic dealing with something in Hardy Nebraska of all places is kinda funny to me.
this is the same storyline in the fleetway comics
Surprised the Sonic Bible doesn't start with the book of Sega Genesis.
finally new chaomix video lets goooo
Fun Fact: In Archie Comics There Is An Universe Named "The In Another Time, In Another Place" looks similar to Mobius Prime, sharing the same inhabitants (such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Eggman) and locations (such as Green Hill Zone and Little Planet). However, the story of the In Another Time, In Another Place follows more closely that from the mainline Sonic the Hedgehog video game titles, serving as adaptations for that series' video games, sharing events that include, but are not limited to, the Little Planet incident and the Time Eater incident Lol
(Yeah Game Universe Literally Does Exist As A Paralel Universe For Archie's Universe (Also Called Prime Zone)
Draft One of the Sonic Origin Bible or story whatever it's called, literally had me Lol'ing , a half eaten egg and the Chaos Emeralds being quantified into his DNA and essence, reversing his name to Robotnick... Some pretty unhinged stuff lmao
I immediately knew when he said "son of a glitch" that they were trying to sneak in a bit of an adult joke. Clever
It reminds of transformers where there's US,European, Japanese and modern aligned canon.
I believe in the original USA lore, and Sonic the Comic
Someone has NOT read the archie comics. At this point, more sonic stuff is based off archie and American content then Japanese
0:47 nice how almost all of them ignore it (except the Fleetway comics)
My guy I would become religious for sonic the hedgehog 😂
18:14 ”Sonic, you wanna go get a hamburger??? No, little buddy. HOW BOUT A CHILIDAUG!!! SONI- *gulp* *gulp* *gulp*.”
All I knew is he was born on Christmas Island. An island in Australia. Sonic was an Aussie...
8:42 of this is the first draft then i'm glad whoever was the writer for Sonic 2 decided to adopt the seventh emerald into the JPN lore
I call Sonic’s planet, Mobius
18:22 everything is canon doesn’t exactly mean everything is canon to one continuity. We haven’t heard of that or not yet. They definitely wouldn’t make boom canon right? RIGHT?
the sound effects really made this video
If everything is canon then Peter Griffin is canon to sonic
Chaomix's animation of Sonic throughout this retelling is on a par with Sega.
Besides I love the idea of different dimensions and alternate realities in fiction. Its always something that makes your fictional stories interesting and existing for people that love your fictional characters.
this my fav sonic channel of all time just have to say it
making the IDW Sonic comics was a big Mistake
Real people remember when the thumbnail was an actual Sonic bible
A: Sonic Prime is not a true multiverse, it's just Sonic's original world shattered into multiple off shoots because he shattered the Paradox Prism and split his world into multiple worlds, these worlds did not exist before he shattered his universe, meaning Sonic Prime is not true Multiverse Travel, if it was then the normal world would be ok and we'd see Sonic travel to pre existing continuities like Boom or Underground
B: if you want proof of this theory, we dont see any versions of Sonic or Shadow because they were either the cause of the incident or escaped it meaning they weren't shattered into multiple versions of themselves (so how would you expect to see any of the other continuities that have Sonic or Shadow in them if the worlds we see clearly DONT have them in any!!!!)
C: dont just throw things out like they're fact without paying attention to the show all the pieces are clearly there, you're spreading misinformation
D: big fan of the show, this wasn't meant to come off as rude just disappointed that you didn't realize this yourself is all
I mean sonic literally says “eggman didn’t create this world, I did” so that’s pretty much enough evidence I feel like. But u provided good evidence to.
@@Kooky95 thank you, just get annoyed by people not understanding this very simple obvious thing that requires a little bit of attention
@@Kooky95 @chamix TOTALLY CALLED IT, this is not true multiverses it's just Sonic's world shattered I say this in the most respectful way "DO BETTER with your research, attention skills and dont spread misinformation"
th-cam.com/video/52Gqk9T3mfA/w-d-xo.html
The funniy thing is, Porker Lewis was actually a major character in the UK's Sonic the Comic, which actually stuck much closer to the Sonic Bible than the Sonic the Hedgehog comic by Archie that followd to continuity of Sonic SatAM
I really want them to go with a multiverse instead of having prime be canon to the games
“Ummm actually it’s kint-o-bor not kint-ober 🤓”
“Pray to the blue blur before bed”
Imagine going to a religious club showcasing your religions and bibles and when it’s your turn to showcase you pull out “The Sonic Bible” and start talking about the entire Sonic The Hedgehog lore💀
Chaomix is the best 😎, nice vid, I love these videos :)
If there's a Sonic Bible, are there Sonic heretics? 🤔
Chaomix vids only get better
Due to the concurrently running shows of AoSTH and SatAM, both with wildly different lores from both each other and the games, Sonic has always been a multiversal franchise to me.
Are we not going to talk about how the first thing Sonic said upon admiring his new, blue body was "Rico Suave"?
The sonic lore is a mess now. Dont get me wrong, before sonic frontiers there were some issues in games like shadow the hedgehog, but that wasnt a big deal. Now the lore has like 3 "canon continuations to sonic forces and neither of those have sense in the same universe. The strange part is that I dont know who to blame for this. Was iizuka's fault? was a sega directive's fault? It would be interesting to know, but to end this comment I have to say that the sonic's multimedia canon idea can work, but right now has a poor execution.
That thumbnail got some glow up
17:29 well when you have a game where Robotnik takes over the world and the show the that the Freedom Fighters debuted in's premise is that Robotnik takes over the world you kind of expect them to appear
7:12-7:20 That's an adorable name for child Sonic. BUT WHAT THE HECK WAS HIS MOTHER DOING? ARE HIS SISTERS QUINTUPLETS?
Could you tell us about the Japanese origin story with Christmas Island/Kiritimati?
I still think the freedom fighters and Mobius need to return
Your new thumbnail tricked me into thinking that this is a new video.
Honestly i didn't know there was a sonic bible i thought it was interesting 🤔 but i have heard of the archie comics and i wasnt sure if both are cannon
Yeeaa lesgoo sonic Bible, The power of sega compels you! The power of sega compels you! Pray in the name of Sonic!
And drink some holy emerald water
I’m really starting to see the dragon ball style in your art more and I love it. You should try broadening your horizons and also try covering some DB stuff!
all I got from the first draft of the sonic bible is that the chaos emeralds are like the holy grail in fate/zero and stay night
I’d love it if they did a reboot of sonic Saturday a.m. with higher production values and writing by Ian Flynn and maybe they can even get some of the old actors like Jaleel, White and Jim Cummings to come back to reprise their roles
Ah yes, my favorite Sonic character, Porker Lewis
These origins story is getting very weird but still interesting I rather have a unknown fast hedgehog came South Island to save animals from robots or he was raised by owls as a warrior(LongClaw reference)
What if the next video if how the sonic franchise deals with real world problems
