I’ve been on ozempic for 9 months now. I’ve lost 25 pounds to date. My a1c went from 7.5 to 6.0 after 3 months at which point I stopped taking Glipizide. My a1c did bump up to 7.0 but making adjustments to diet to manage that. I’m pleased with how effective it has been. It’s nice not to feel hungry all the time.

I have been using various GLP-1 for 20 years. I also lost 35-40 lbs initially but eventually normal hunger returned slowly over the years, so it pays to be vigilant. I've had to add insulin, EMPAGLIFLOZIN, Metformin. Cardiovascular exercise helps immensely to keep the weight off. However the insulin causes weight GAIN. Flexible strategy is required.

How do you tell what your supposed to take on the pan versus the Needle? Like how do I measure out .25mg when using the pens? Do I go by the numbers on the end and if so how and what is the deal with the number of clicks? So basically I don't know how to measure out the right dosage using depends. I have three different types of insulin that are in the pens and I am just seeing that I may be measuring it wrong

That’s the only problem I have with this is that once it’s off you don’t get hunger suppression. Basically you have to be on this for the rest of your life perhaps

I am only on my second week of Ozempic. My blood sugars took a drastic dive post 24hrs after my first injection. I am getting consistent readings between 5 and 6.5. Previously my readings were anything from 6.5 to 15 Hba1c 7.5. I am also on insulin which I really didn't think was working and my endo just kept increasing the dose every 3 months. Now I have had to drop my insulin way down!!! I just can't believe how well it has worked for me in such a short period of time. I must admit my diet has improved. No cravings at all and only able to eat really small amounts. The fullness feeling is amazing. And only time I feel sick is when I have that extra too many mouthfuls. So I have recognised when to stop eating. Weight loss is a bonus... but glucose control is my main reason for using Oz. Lost 2.9kg 1st week and 2kg 2nd week. I also have liver cirrhosis so really hoping I can reverse that at least to some extent. 🤞 . Thank you for your time in sharing this video. 😊

This is very informative. I think US doctors are not prescribing correctly as there was not any mention of the 4 weeks at .25 and no mention of the 5 weeks for it to work in the system my physician started me on the 1.25 dose and after 4 weeks I had a pancreatitus attack. I stopped it, watched some videos about it and asked if I could get the pen with the .25 and .5 dose. I only did the .25 for 2 weeks then .5 for 2 and now 1.0 but I am considering going down to .5 and see if after 4 or 5 weeks that will be sufficient. It is just very disappointing to know that this is a very successful treatment and would be even more so if prescribed correctly. Maybe it is just my doctor. Thank you for this video and the information.

I have just started Ozempic, it’s been 3 weeks now. The first week I had really bad nausea but hearing you explain everything, I’ve realised that it was just the sense of over eating fullness.
I’ve had type 2 diabetes for over 10 years now. I got diagnosed when I was about 19. The issue is that, no amount of doctors, diabetes specialists, endocrinologists have figured out if it’s type 2 diabetes or type 1. I don’t have family history of diabetes but my brother has type 1 diabetes.
The only 2 medications that have worked for me so far to keep my sugar levels under control are insulin both short acting and long acting and trulicity, with insulin I gain a lot of weight.
I also just wanted to ask is there a chance that I could have type 1 diabetes? If you could please tell me what sort of tests I should get done to rule this out.
    I would really appreciate it.

I am using Ozempic from last 1 year and so, First it was 0.25MG was effective then slowly need to go little higher to 0.5MG now I am on 1MG does per week. As its clear that doses becoming ineffective after certain period of time. What will happen when 1MG does is not enough?
I quit Ozempic for some time because it was causing lots of upper stomach pain. In that period of time I clearly saw that it creates dependency because after quitting Ozempic blood sugar levels go really high.
    Kindly advise.

We live in New Orleans. The doctor who originally diagnosed Ric years ago (40!) is an endocrinologist. He partnered with Ric in keeping him, so far with good A1C #s...and hubby has had no neuropathy or problems. However his numbers are not as good as they were, say..two years ago. There can be many reasons of course. But he was hesitant when Ozempic first was suggested (a year or so ago) because of 'sticking him with a needle.' The Doctors now remind him that the benefits of this particular injection method can far outweigh the 'scaries'...so it's straight ahead for us. (BTW I got elected to do his injection)...

I’ve been taking this for 4 weeks at .25. It’s very important to note that I’m taking it for weight loss only. My endocrinologist prescribed it. The first couple of weeks were hard as I was very nauseated. For me, I’ve noticed that anything even a bit spicy will make me sick to my stomach for half the day. Even spaghetti sauce. Peanut butter is another hard food. I eat a very bland diet right now and if I start to feel nauseated but not hungry, I’ll eat like 10-15 animal crackers. Just plain ones. Seems to settle the stomach some. And a little Sprite can help. But the nausea does get better. At least, by week four it has for me. I had to hang in there for the first 2-3 weeks. Week four has been surprisingly better. This is just my experience.♥️

So, I received the suggestion to try Ozempic, with the main goal to keep focus on my diet and decrease or even avoid the binge eating episodes. However after I had been taking it for about a year and a half I became very very weak I had no idea it was the trulicity that was causing it. But the same thing had happened to my brother and he told me to stop taking it. As soon as I stopped taking it it took about 4 weeks and I was back to normal. Then I started taking those Ozempic. I've lost 45 lb in 9 months and sometimes I feel weak but not usually. I am often a little nauseated and if I eat too much I will throw up. Also the taste of food is different and I don't desire food the way I used to.

I also had a period of time when I would normally have gained several kilos so instead of gaining I lost. I am indigenous and my doctor thinks that my Type 2 Diabetes is more hereditary than anything. I started Ozempic at the beginning of March. After chatting with others who have used the same medication I seem to have not only more side effects but far more severe side effects. I was directed to start with .25 for 4 weeks and then .5 for 4 weeks and finally 1mg dose. I am still feeling a fair number of side effects and they are quite intrusive. Will they ever resolve? I have lost 40lbs at this point and while that is pretty impressive I have days where I am incapacitated by my side effects. My biggest fear is if I now stop the Ozempic am I going to gain back all of the weight if I am switched over to insulin?

You will most definitely gain it back if you are on the standard American diet. You need to switch to a low carbohydrate diet in order to maintain the results. If your diabetic, sugar/carbs are the devil and you should stay away from it at all costs. If you stay under 50 g of carbs per day you probably will not gain any weight. You might be able to slide with a hundred assuming you're super active.

My daughter has Prader willie Syndrome has Ozempic been approved for Prader-willie? Because they do not produce enough GOP1 which causes them to always feel hungry. My daughter is very high functioning

My father took 4 injections in total over 4 weeks of OZEMPIC 0.25 mg (1 injection per week) he has been experiencing side effects for 1 week (vomiting, loss of appetite, extreme fatigue, etc.). can you tell me how long the side effects last?
We saw, thanks to your video and comments, that side effects are inevitable. But how long the side effects last ?

Side affects go away in 1-2 weeks for a given dose. I did have side affect only 1-2 days after taking the shot. So I took the shot on friday nights, so I can sleep them off during the weekend. Now I am at 1ml per week dose. I have been taking it for 6 months. 15 kg less without any exercise or dieting. Its a fantastic med. My insulin dosages disappeared.

Okay so was taking ozempuc for 8 mos and was getting stomach pain and bloating.....on April. 30, I had to be hospitalized qith pancreatitis due to the ozempic, it was a very painful diagnosis, was in the hospital for a week, on morphine and zofran through an IV because I could not have anything by mouth to let my pancreas heal. 3 days nothing by mouth 4th day and 5th day liquids and 6th and 7th day solids, was tough due to still being bloated and still having some pain. Pay close attention to major side effects that can happen. Its not worth it.
I know everyone is different, but just thought I would put it out there and help someone else who had stomach pain and doesn't know what it is. Was taking it for diabetes not weight loss.

I used Ozempic for three months, even I lost weight the side effects were really terrible. Nausea, vomit, stomach ache, etc. I felt sick all the time. Is there a way to reduce the sympthoms? Because is the only medication that help me to loose weight and reduce my glucose levels in blood.

The symptoms are often dose related. It can be very effective at low doses with minimal symptoms but doctors are encouraged to push the dose up.

Yes! Its called Micro dosing! I started with 10 clicks! .25mg is 18 clicks. Every week I increase by 2 clicks and I've had no side effects. Its a slower weight loss but you're able to avoid vomiting.

I agree…I’m normally a once a day eater anyways and this thing made me sick as hell!! Nausea, vomiting, constant indigestion!! Ugh!! It was so bad I couldn’t eat period cause it would make me sick!! I wasn’t eating for 3-4 days at a time which can’t be good either!! Omg I stopped taking that after about a month…I never felt good
