Hey man, I just got into this game and yours is the only channel I've found with the type of content I want. Just wanted to show some appreciation, you really speak about the game in a way that helps me get it. Thanks for the video, looking forward to any future ones if you do make em.
Thanks man! Sadly doubles is something I have never really stepped into. The types of pokemon and teams that do well in doubles are so different from singles that I wouldn't really be any help at all. There are usually some good doubles games to spectate though so hopefully those help!
Well haxorus is sadly kinda hard to fit on a team right now. If you do want to run it then I think dragon dance is going to be the most viable set to allow you to handle garchomp and non scarfed hydreigon. Mandibuzz is a big pain for a dd set though so choice band hit and run is pretty viable as well. In terms of team I think you need a strong hazard setter ie skarmory to wear the opponents team into the range of a boosted haxorus. For moveset I think you could try a sub, dd, dragon claw, and earthquake or low kick set. In this case you become a much less durable but potentially more deadly garchomp. Swords dance is another strong set, but due to the prevalence of gengar, garchomp, skarmory, scizor and Hydreigon I think you wont be able to do as much without the speed from dd.
@@roidedewok7918 hey man, thanks for replying. I heard thet hydreigon cannot learn draco meteor anymore so a haxorus with choise scarf i tough i will be enough to sweep some mons with some good hydreigon checks. Or put sub on a baton pass user (i know baton pass is kinda crap rn) and set up with 1 or 2 dd . I'm not as experienced as you in the competitive so it migh be garbage. XD
@@cristian-vladutcurca7467 That isnt a terrible idea, it is just unlikely that you will be able to reliably pass a sub so I wouldn't count on that happening each game. Also experience just comes with practice and watching people who know what they are doing, so this new viewing by rank system should be a big help. As far as I know hydra can use draco right now but it is being evaluated to see if it is too strong.
Scarf is a decent option on haxorus, but I really think the scarfer role is better suited to garchomp right now so sticking with a set that lets you really cash in on haxorus insane attack will probably be more optimal right now.
@@roidedewok7918 jeez, thanks a lot, man. You are really reaching out for peeps. You're more or less the reason i still playing pokemmo. Hope to see you grow on youtube. I'll share your channel to my friends group so I'm doing my part ^^ have a great day and thanks a lot again
So question: sceptile is my favorite Pokémon so I want to have it on my competitive team as a wild card kind of, can you think of any good sets that could either make sceptile a replacement for a meta team member or make it a force in its own right?
Sure thing let me take a look. Sceptile has a strong typing and incredible speed, but unfortuantly it has a very shallow move pool that limits its ability to be truly great. That being said I think a set with substitute, focus blast, giga drain, and hp ice with a life orb could be very good right now. This allows you to take on the very common rotom and garchomp with ease, while also outspeeding and threatening key threats such as starmie. You will have a hard time with mandibuzz though so having a teammate that can handle the bird would be a good call. Sceptile excels at beating other fast attackers and grass type attacks are very strong right now, but it cant really break through bulkier pokemon.
How viable are sun teams in ou? I was thinking of using a team of Torkoal, Victreebel, dugtrio (which I already have), wobbuffet (since it was let loose again), donphan and an undecided 6th mon. Donphan is my rapid spinner because most of the other viable spinners like excadrill, starmie, forretress and tentacruel hate being in the sun. Donphan benefits from sun due to water attacks not dealing as much damage. Wobbuffet can tickle an enemy like Chansey or blissey a couple times or lock them into a useless move so Dugtrio can switch in and forcefully destroy them.
Hmm thats tough. I have actually seen a couple sun teams doing decently so it is possible to use, although I personally feel it is one of the weaker good teams out there (if that makes sense). Donphan is really good right now so i like that choice, but I think you want your last to be something that can handle mandibuzz.
Out of curiosity are you running physical or special victreebel? That can change things a bit. Scizor is decent there for u turn and a strong priority move to compliment ice shard. Grown jolteon is actually kinda spicy and you could look into it for a sixth.
Roidedewok I’m running special victreebel. Its move set is growth, weather ball, Giga drain and either sludge bomb or sleep powder (probably the former).
Also I know this is kinda out of the blue but will hidden abilities ever be implemented? I remember that magic bounce xatu was a staple on sun teams in the OG black and white overused (when sun was powerful. It no longer is good in gen 5 ou due to the banning of arena trap and chlorophyll + drought after the generation ended). Xatu would be used in conjunction with dugtrio to forcefully destroy tyranitar, the most common stealth rocker.

Dude, your content fucking rocks. Keep it up man. I come from OU showdown but this is completely different. Its nice to have a guide.
Thanks man, I think you're really going to enjoy the unique mashup format that mmo has as a nice break from showdown.
Glad you are back missed you and by the way bring more pvp videos i absolutely love them. Thanks a lot
It's good to see you back, bro!
Nice video! Really like your content, keep it up!
Welcome back man
Thanks its good to be back!
Nice video maann, always looking forward to it, could u show us how to do doubles in pokemmo in your next video?

i Wanted to ask what is the best or a good set up of 5 pokemons to go with an infernape?
Dat double freeze ice beam
Yeah but he got kicked in the face by rng earlier so he deserved those

I’m new to Pokémmo but I know what ivs are so I will try to get good ivs for a gardevoir and gallade cause they are my favorite Pokémon
Nice, I breeding up a perfect version of your favorite pokemon is a lot of fun!
