- The standard sesame style lock bypass with a mini-knife is well known, but each vendor's lock may have a slightly different position or angle that works. Master in particular has been improving their design to make it more difficult to bypass. In this video I'll show you how to bypass the CCL, Brinks, and Master 175 sesame style locks that I received from Deviant Ollam, with tips from Max Power, and my own personal "tweak" that makes the Master easier.

Thank you for the very informational and instructional video on how to pick these locks! I just picked a Sesamee K436 lock by inserting a homemade repleca of the Peterson mini knife made out of a brake cleaner can. I picked the release foot on the left side of the 2nd dial. Thank you again!!!
Thanks, and you're welcome!
Good video, thanks for keeping it short and to the point.
Legit!....was having trouble with new ML 175....your video explained how to go about it perfectly....thumbs up, subbed.👍
Thanks! Love your avatar, and it looks like I'm going to have to check out your content too. I ride as well.
Finally some explanation
THANK YOU
This is 1 of the best LP videos with info and demo i have seen! R u still active? I just subscribed
Great demonstration.
Let me know next time you're planning on visiting Columbia. I'd like to facilitate a ColaSec meetup.
You didn't do it a second so that I know it's not a fluke! 😉 Nice video!
Haha, yeah, I debated that but the video was getting kinda long already. I'll keep that in mind for next time ;)
Nice work! I just picked up one of the new ML 175's, and haven't been able to bypass it yet.
Any luck yet?
@@drcazeddog Not yet, I need to get the Southern Specialities decoder and quick stick. I tried the Sparrows brand versions, but the updated ML 175 prevented them from working.
@@JDStone20 So far, I have found, once the lock is worn after a lot of use, the tolorences loosen up. The lock becomes sloppy and the bypass works. I bought a lock and cut the front off to see what I am doing. Might cut a video.
@@drcazeddog Ok. I tried the Southern Specialties decoder and didn't have any luck other than to bend my decoder. My lock is fairly new and doesn't have a lot of use on it, so I will keep trying every now and then to see if it will work.
Anyone know how to decode *new* 175? It is different than old one.
Good question. To be honest I haven't tried it yet. I'm traveling right now, but I'll give it a shot as soon as I can.
@@OakCityLocksport Have you tried it? I tried everything, and eventually I took it apart, I don't think it can be bypassed anymore. Totally different internals and the case is tight AF. I had the whole bottom off and couldn't get it to trip unless I had the right code dialed in. Make sure you have the latest version.
@@noahway13 yeah, I brought a new one and I tried to shim it with a Peterson shim nothing. It can't be bypassed....I even tried to tap the side with a 🔨 hammer. Nothing works.
@@coreturkoane5570 Thank you. You don't see LPL advertising THAT... I have gutted one, can't see any way to pick or bypass.
Yes, it was done with a .007 automotive feeler gauge cut 'hocky stick' shape and width of a lock wheel.
The hocky stick end is inserted horizontally at the *top* of any wheel, then pulled straight out, catching the Latch Fingers.
As usual, while holding down the shackle.
You do different things to unlock each, is that because internals are different or because case is different ?
Yes? 😁 Both the case and internals vary just a bit. The internal design is basically the same, but the size of the "fingers" on the locking plate that ride along the flywheel next to the dials can be a bit different, as well as how tightly the case fits against the dials.
Have you tried the ABUS 180IB. I have three but just one sometimes cooperates. I have used various tools and homemade decoders from springs out off pull back and release toy cars.
I have not unfortunately. I'm checking around to see if anyone else has...
OK, I checked in with Max Power, and he had the ABUS. Looking at one that has been drilled and the cover removed, the plate with the fingers on it is mighty chonky, and there are some additional plates on the sides. He was able to perform the bypass on the left side of the 4th dial, but it looks like the right side of the third would work as well. He said he had to get the shim in pretty deep, and it was harder to depress. So, possible, but a tad harder.
Thank you. I'll give it a try.
