There is one TH-camr who is by no means a girl but a grown woman but talks like a 5 year old. It’s very difficult to listen to and i think it effects these woman’s relationships too. It’s not very sexy unless the guy is into kids.
This lesson is great! I'm from Japan and raising my son (18 months old) in the US. I went to a university in the US have been working here but baby talk in English is a whole new language! I had some basic baby talk vocabulary but this lesson really helped me review them and build new lines of words :)
Yeah... The people you're talking to, would probably not think that you have a weird relationship with your parents for using those words, but that you're not talking about your parents at all...
I would recommend NOT saying 'shit' or 'ass' in a professional setting. They are considered swear words. Poop or Butt (bum in British english) are much better and more neutral words. If you are mentioning going to the toilet, do not say "I am going #1 or #2." That is actually used more for children, and nobody needs to know what you are doing in the bathroom. Say "I need to use the restroom/bathroom" in the US, or "I need to use the toilet" in the UK. "I need to use the loo" is an informal way to say it, but only in the UK.
Ohh Miss Ronnie, thank you a lot! I have been learning English for three years ago. My mother tongue is Spanish, and your English is so clear for us. I understand all that you are saying ! Thanks you! Greetings from Chile
Brazilians have a huge problem on speaking words as dog, duck, etc. Because of our accent we put an "i" in everything and it makes us speak like babies.
zefinhagotoza u may not agree but it's true though. i see this all the time, for example, when saying words like 'milkshake' i'll hear brazilians say milkee shakee
I met a girl not too long ago because we became coworkers and mostly a team. She’s extremely sentimental and sensitive, and despite her age, I’ve noticed her mom spoils her too much (She’s an only child). For the past few weeks I’ve noticed that she uses baby talk A LOT while speaking to people, even bosses, and since we work in the animal field, she tends to say stuff in a childish way (Penis: pee pee, Dog: doggo, Kisses: kithes, etc). I don’t intend to change her, I’ve tried to ignore it but it’s honestly becoming irritating and I can’t focus on what she’s saying I simply focus on the way she says it. Other coworkers think she’s weird and I’m the only one who honestly puts up with her. Is there a way I can tell her nicely to maybe stop doing it around everyone else? It’s embarrassing.
Hi Ronnie, I wanted to reach out and let you know how much I appreciate your incredible talent for teaching English. Your ability to select important topics and present them in such a clear and engaging manner is truly exceptional. Your dedication and expertise have made a significant impact on my learning journey. Thank you for all that you do!
Hello! I'm from Ukraine and I have understood everything that you were talking about. That is awesome! Thank you so much! Very easy, useful and understandably.
I've learnt how to say R in my native language when i was like 11-13. Speech therapists could't help me but I managed to learn it from the internet. Before I was using the french, english and german R (I only new english back then). Now I'm 17 and I'm so proud of myself that I can finally say rolled R even better than my friends!
I know this video is 7 years old, but it needs to be pinned by TH-cam on the start page. I don't know what is going on in today's world, but the amount of grown adults that feel the need to talk like toddlers is just way beyond annoying. There is this woman that I work with and she uses words like "din-din" and "breakies" when referring to meals, and it is just the cringiest and creepiest thing ever. I think I am going to anonymously email her a link to this video, lol.
This is the video you unceremoniously send to someone who does indeed talk like an infant. No text. No explanation. You just let the video speak for itself. "But what if doing so ends up ending a valuable friendship?" If it's that great a friendship the person will know you mean well.
First time here, you just got me hooked and I will come for more on your channel, I am enjoying talking to my 18 months old little girl in English and she understands it super well, but I keep on studying to be as accurate as possible with the language. Thanks for this awesome lesson.
"I do not have good enough English to put a comment here"* would be a much better alternative. also, changing "have" to "possess" would be a great alternative to "have." Hope this helped.
Ms. Ronnie, I do not love you but I admire you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much, you are rock, I really enjoy and like all your videos thanks aloooooooooooooooooooooooooot
Very nice video 👏👏, as well in Portuguese we speak the word ( bum bum ) just with a little difference in the sound but with the same meaning, and it's more used for kids too.. Congratulation for the video.🙄
I know that if you talk to a baby with this "stupid" voice and words, the baby will be more difficult to talk correctly when he/she grows up. sorry for my bad english, I hope I'm well explained 😅
well, to be fair, lots of people do it, but I see your point. I'm a native speaker and didn't notice it until I read this comment. People say "ek-cetera" as well (should be et-cetera)
Ok I admit it. Whenever I see a dog I'm done. Then a very high "Oh hello doggie" comes out of my mouth because I love dogs so much. (This doesn't happen with babies btw, maybe because I don't really like babies 😹). Yes. I love my doges.
What's wrong with oopsie dasiy?? 😂 Or even just 'oopsies'. I use that a lot and it doesn't seem to be a problem lol. I just wouldn't use it in extremely serious situations. I live in the United States and it seems normal.
I have a tongue issue so even if I try really hard I won't pronounce R properly. It'll come out as something close to L. 😂 Other than that I hardly talk like a baby. Slangs are an issue I'm trying to fix. >_>
Hello Ronnie, my name is Angie, I,m from Mexico, I love the way you teach, I've learned many since I decided to take your classes, You're the best teacher that I ever had!! and I would like to visit u some day to Canada :)
We're getting the wrong idea of what you're doing with your parents! HAHAHA!!!!! That was so funny. What an _awesome_ teacher! She's really good at this.
Ronnie, I found this is on your website: Now there is something brown in the toilet. A young child calls it _____________. 1) jammies 2) a poopsie daisy 3) poo-poo 4) bum-bum 5) a dump 6) a load of shit 7) biryani only Hindi guys will understand😂😂😂😆😆

I "expecially" like the part that she tries to say especially. This has to be a joke.
Lotfi Mouelhi wonderful. Maybe because this is the first video ive seen of hers and she just rubbed me the wrong way. Just seems hypocritical that shes trying to teach people how to not do something when she does it herself. Its kinda hard to take her serious.
Myriah Jasmine i am glad you "discovered" Ronnie she's cute not boring and communicative we learn a lot of things that others do not dare teach love your name by the way

Agree, too funny!
There is one TH-camr who is by no means a girl but a grown woman but talks like a 5 year old. It’s very difficult to listen to and i think it effects these woman’s relationships too. It’s not very sexy unless the guy is into kids.

I cracked up when she said ''My daddy's coming to see me tomorrow night.''
Yeah... The people you're talking to, would probably not think that you have a weird relationship with your parents for using those words, but that you're not talking about your parents at all...
Sugar daddy, probably hahah

Haha. In America we say " I'm ganna take a shit" or. "Ganna take a piss."
Agreed!
also formal is bottom
I'd imagine this video was for adults who can't speak like proper people - in America at least
I just can't stop loving you, Ronnie. You're super fun and I adore your style
This person will never stop me from using oopsies!! NEVER!
ahaha
She did an oopsie
Everybody did an oopsie!

sorry for my bad english, I hope I'm well explained 😅
Poison Ivy, I've heard that, too, but I don't know if I believe it. I spoke baby talk to my babies who are now grown. They speak very well.
I'm italian and i love ur speed of speaking (not so speedy) and your humor. Thanks
Why children say Baba for blanket ? Baba means father in Turkish :D
in Russian Baba means granny )
That is interesting ))
And in Brazil baba (babá) means babysitter. :V
Lool that is also interesting 😂😂
baba = older or old woman in Polish.
your way of teaching is extraordinary and somehow attractive. I'll keep watching your useful and informative videos.
