So nice to see someone else who remains seated and uses cadence to get up a KOM. Great effort on that last KOM...I thought when you got through that first half that you'd be able to hold on. Great sprint at the end!
@@ZwiftInsider Yeah, I was like that the first time I did it on Sunday, two guy on the front averaging 500w. I made it to the final sprint but the legs wouldn't go. Today was much better in a big group and I learned from my mistake and didn't chase. I screwed up the sprint but still managed a top 10 finish.
Congrats on the top 10 Eric, it's a brutal route. I've raced it twice and been dropped twice, on the first lap. Is that a new feature when you do a ride on bomb, I've never seen the blue circle on the road before?
Aw shucks! Maybe you should have used that drafting PU over the KOM the second time (?), but I do not blame you for keeping either, especially after you sort of got burned when you used it over the KOM the first time over! I have found it strange that in the race I did and in your two races, it appears as if the start is so fast that nearly half the field is gone by the KOM. It almost makes me wonder if the dynamics changed again? Or maybe the start is so "choppy" (and rouleur friendly) that it lends itself to breaking up the pack early on? Anyway, thank again for sharing!
Why use the draft over the second KOM? I wasn't drafting anyone... so that wouldn't have done any good! (Using it in the finish was helpful, though... although I should have triggered it sooner.)
Nice Race Eric… Way to Claw you way back, and the P9 👍🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️
Beau travail :) (good job)
Great race Eric! Nice finish, you held so strong! Congrats.
Thanks man. Next goal: survive the KOM! 😊

Felt like they blew it up the second half of that second KOM! But my legs were also blowing up at the same time, so...

Yes. Releasing in tomorrow's Zwift update!

Dang. Just one or two seconds faster on the KOM and you'd have been sprinting for the win.
Every... friggin... time!
