My favorite hike is 1.5 miles in one direction with just short of 900 foot elevation change and I try to take at least one dog with me if the weather is good enough for them. It was about +25 F today, warm enough for a Boxer. I had my GoPro on a headband, and jogged to the bottom from the top.
