North Slope Caribou Stalk
29 miles south of the Arctic Circle Sept 8, 2021.
The first ‘bou is this year’s calf. The second one is Mom & behind her was last year’s boy. His velvet is off his tiny antlers and he peed to make sure I knew he was a boy. The baby got within 3 yards and the other two within 8 yards. They had no idea what I was.

My favorite hike is 1.5 miles in one direction with just short of 900 foot elevation change and I try to take at least one dog with me if the weather is good enough for them. It was about 25 F today, warm enough for a Boxer. I had my GoPro on a headband, and jogged to the bottom from the top.

Other folks were fishing up and down the river. Frank and I were catching! The first part of the video I didn't realize that the GoPro on my headband was on and I hooked a really nice Silver Salmon. Once it got near the boat I thought I was turning the video on, when I turned it off. It shows how pretty well how we used the drift method with a bobber and roe to hook a fish. I went out on a fishing charter for silver salmon August 21, 2020 with a good friend. We chose Fish4salmon charters as the owner/guide Andy Couch has a great reputation. It was a perfect day for fishing and sight seeing. We limited out in short order and then Any took us on this boat ride. Wonderful time, great stories, great fishing, and the boat trip was awesome.

Driving up Green Mountain to the upper saddle you will come upon a series of hiking trails. This particular trail takes you to the highest point on the island. Early in the hike you come across indigenous plants ( the only remaining ones) that are protected. St the top you go through a bamboo forest. A very fun hike.

The highest point on Ascension is called Green Mountain. Back in the early 1800s it had a minimal amount of foliage when Charles Darwin came to the island to examine the geology of this volcanic rock. I finally found a way to upload my videos from Ascension Island. I'm still trying to figure out how I can edit and "cut", but this one is raw as taken and runs just over 15 minutes. It shows us leaving for the fishing boat, trolling, and everyone catching Wahoo except me (no one there to video me). I ended up catching the only Yellowfin Tuna of the day though :-)

Recently I was on Ascension Island in the south Atlantic Ocean and went sea fishing for Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna. The way you got to and from the fishing vessel was quite unique so I decided to take a GoPro video it...enjoy the ride!

No spring, no pin requires. Just as he showed it. Two screws on each end.
how did you know there was something wrong before you tore it apart? I have a very cold bathroom and thinking of taking down sheetrock to see what's going on behind it.
I walked in on the guys when they were almost done with the insulation installation. I wasn't aware of the proper way, so I asked the lead guy why the backing was going on the outside and he gave me a BS answer. Why the crappy contractor sent a text say "I quit", I then went to talk with a lawyer who said I needed to get formal inspections done. I mentioned to the inspector about the insulation as I had found out it was possibly put in wrong. He asked me to cut a hole in the dry wall so he could inspect it and that is how we found out it was wrong. The crappy contractor went on to say that I had demanded it be put in wrong, what an ass he was.

Double vapor barrier. No good. Plus paper always goes towards conditioned space. You could either consider the insulation job a waste of Kraft or waste of poly. Either way somebody lost money. Most likely the insulator and builder. Whole job needs to be re insulated, re drywall. Re plastered.
I believed the crappy contractor was living life by chemical dependence. I removed all the drywall, found that none of the 2x6" framing had been squared so I planed and shimmed them, then not only replaced the insulation, I also trimmed out around the plumbing and wiring, not just squishing it in. A great since of personal accomplishment knowing I could do better than a crappy contractor.
@@rogerhale9204 that's the way to do it man. Can't stand when I see fiberglass batts just pushed against wires. Or not split around outlets like it should be. I hear horror stories all the time regarding insulation. Voids equal moisture. Moisture equals mold. Mold equals health issues. Matters so much more than these half ass installers realize
