Both Armenians and Assyrians were in Iran thousands of years ago. In fact they all spoke the same language (aramaic) at one point. They are referring to FORCED MIGRATIONS, not the fact that our population existed there thousands of years before this. Before the revolution the Armenian population in Iran was 2-3million, now we are looking at 500,000 on a good day. The Assyrians were close to half a million themselves, and the population of Iran was much less at the time. The Armenians are the closest thing Iranians have to their ancient ancestors.
