So many ppl went to Studio 54 it was the Night Club it was good times now those are just memories. I can't believe this was back in 1970 it was a great time to be alive unlike today everything sucks. I would have loved to go have gone to Studio 54 they did a movie about Studio 54.
I remember standing and waiting with anticipation to get in..was there in 78..was amazing place...but.....not as amazing as the paradise garage!!that was the place for real music..it was like church
Im curious about S 54, id like it i love disco enjoying now when was only 14 i think back then. I luv most music. Id love 54 printed on a black t shirt in gold!! Luv from England
she's very touchy. if a man touched a woman like this, the fuckin media would crucify him that he's forcinh himself on her. this was less than 50 years ago,
Very good interview. Most interviewers ask stu[id questions and then talk oiver the guest wihth their schtick she allowed him to respond ad was generally engaged.
You're very wise and not fooled by the fame, glamour. Judges 2 Ishtar, Ashtoreth, Astarte or Aphrodite, all the same goddess, just different names with Baal. The Bible refers to the wild dancing and loss of control. This is a spiritual issue not one of freedom and fun for the sake of a good time. If one wanted to dance, there were many clubs to choose from but this particular one was, as you wrote, Satan's playground based on Pride like a modern Sodom to some, not all.
Actually I was thinking the exact opposite, Steve is very articulate here. Clearly he abstained from the ludes long enough to conduct this interview. I'm sure 30 minutes after this was done he was back to drooling and slurring his speech.
He’s coming off a hangover. Burned out. Rubell used ludes to bed male models and did tons of Cocaine. Rubell was also an AIDS vector. He infected Tons of Men in Greenwich Village.
Always love finding rare or unseen interviews and footage of Studio 54 history, especially archives from a Twin Cities broadcast

Love Marc Benecke! ❤
Say what you will, Steve was a go-getter, and very creative.
He was an Asshole in Real Life. I spoke to a few of his Openly gay Colleagues.

Right?! I see all of the horrible interviews these days on YT and they can’t even go near this level
Lmbo.....she wanted to get in the club🤣🤣🤣🤣and she did
The devil play ground

4 real
So much masonic symbolism
So sad that 7 years later he would die horribly in a hospital of AIDS.
No, ten years later in 1989 he died. That interview is from 1979.
Seems lot of people die from aids in the late 80s and early 90s
Steve Rubell looking pretty spaced out after a long night. Not sure he´s slept yet.

@@SoulShines4Music ... the man was a real scumbag ... and he died an appropriate death
He wasn’t constantly fuked up on Ludes! He would hand out handfuls of Quaaludes.
Entrance Requirement:
Mannerism...energy level...wardrobe......today that would be considered discrimination.
I'd almost forgotten how atrocious the fashion was back in those days. Geez 🙄
Nancy really needs to stop touching him it's very odd and offensive.
