      Of course nothing wrong, just walking afterwards can be hard so be careful with that everyone! Learned it the hard way haha.

    Yet another detour suggestion for folks doing this section: when you get to the highway crossing at 7:52, go in the opposite direction of the arrow and it'll eventually take you to Playa de Barayo, an amazing secluded beach which is also a wildlife preserve. From there you can walk along the Senda Costa visiting more beautiful beaches all the way to Navia. This was one of my top three favorite walks of the trip.
    Crossing into Galicia is always emotional because that's when you know your journey is coming to an end. I hope you all got to enjoy Cathedral Beach, which is about 10km away from Ribadeo but *so* worth checking out. It's a great way to say goodbye to the ocean.

    Loved Luarca - like a city built inside a fish bowl 😂
    That freaking bridge is endless 😂

    Can you share a bit about the prices of the meals and drinks?

    • @ellieandsenci
      @ellieandsenci  ปีที่แล้ว

      Menu del dia is always somewhere between €10-14 in our experience! Definitely pricier though if you go to a touristy restaurant and not one that mainly caters to locals. And drinks are included in the price!

      Coffees usually go for 1.40-1.90€, breakfast you can find some nice tortillas from 1.40-2.50€ for a quite filling breakfast, we would usually make our own fat sandwiches for to go, that would be cheaper, beers go around 2-3€, and regular meals If you make an effort to find restaurants where locals eat comes around 8-15€. Hope that helps, and we would also do food on a budget, getting microwave lasagne for 3€ (so tasty!)

    Love following your journey! I have walked the Portuguese and Ingles Camino routes so far and hoping to do the Norte next, or at least a section of it. I would prefer to walk a coastal section as like you, I love being by the ocean. Buen Camino! ❤
