Just buy an enthernet cable and connect to router and then it will work

I had that problem. Contacted customer support. After we tried some trouble-shooting, I ended up returning it to Sonos (they pay shipping) and they give me a 30% coupon to buy a new Sonos from their online store.
Perhaps there was a firmware update that made the Play 3 obsolete? We'll see if this thread gets more comments/victims.
