Fantastic video! Extremely informative and Jake does a fine job both demonstrating the instruments and presenting them!
I have an APX 1000 now and love love it. Glad i made the jump but the 700 11 is awesome as well
I love your reviews very informative and very helpful wish I could like your videos more then once thanks again!
Top notch video.
They wanted Jack Black to demo these, but he was too expensive.
thanks. this is great
Great video!
Nice, will get the CPX 700 for christmas :)
your voice is deeper than I imagined lol. Great video and great guitars!
What confuses me is the change in electronics between the 700 and the 1000. The 700 feature is the ART, which pics up resonances from the body, adding to the complete sound. The 1000 feature of SRT appears to sidestep ART. Whereas I thought it would retain the ART and add SRT on top. SRT is about mimicking studio mics, however you still want the ART to pick up the body resonances. However I suspect SRT is maybe meant to include acoustic ambiences and not just microphone tones.
amigo yo tengo una yamaha cpx15 pero se me daño el equalizer tu puede conseguirme uno
When comparing apx and cpx series, is there a diiference between cut-outs? I'm wondering whether reachability of 17th and 19th fret is the same for both types.
Thanks
I purchased a Yamaha APX500 from you guys its Just so Amazing Gotta love it !!! One quick question What type of woods is mine ? thanks Jake
Does the thiner body on the APX mean less acoustic volume than the CPX?
The difference is in the body shape. The APX is a slimline and the CPX is a medium jumbo body. Either is a great choice, it just depends on personal preference. Thanks for watching!

Hi Jake. Looking to buy an APX600 to replace my old Yamaha classical guitar (nearly 30 years old now) and I see you recommended the 702 if I heard correctly. However, I can’t see to find that model here in Spain.
Also, could you tell me what calibre (gauge I think it’s called in English) strings I need please for this guitar. I think it’s 12 but the chap in the guitar shop wasn’t sure (not a good sign!) Thanks. Chris.
hi!! I'm planning to buy a new electro acoustic guitar and I'm interested in a CPX1000ll. After this review, do recommend me to buy it, or do you thing that there's a better guitar for a similar price?
Thank you.
Still informative even in 2023🙂👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching, Kyle! Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

Hi guys.I'm interested in buying cpx1000 but on the official site I couldn't find brown burst or sun burst color.Do you have it?Thank you
Sir, I have a question. Where this guitar(CPX 500) made? Is it made in China or Indonesia? Or somewhere elese?
Do you ship to Australia? And if so what's the approx shipment cost for apx700ii to Victoria 3340?
I will be buying a new guitar soon. Please tell me if this guitar worth the price and is it good?
Sorry, due to our dealer agreement with Yamaha we are not allowed to ship outside the US. Thanks for watching!

Is the CPX still available now? I want to get one
I have a pristine CPX 1000 in mocha. I’m switching to a more classical setup and probably selling mine if you want photos. Comes with plush lined hard case, perfectly fitted, along with a digital hygrometer in the flap and a humidifier tucked into the cutaway space, beautiful strap with strap locks, upgraded strings and a pack of extras, upgraded bridge pins of ebony and abalone. I got it from Kraft in Wisconsin, and I think it’s tops. (But we have two now, plus my classsical Córdoba, so it’s time to reduce by one).
They rock ! I have one
And if I live in a a foreign country...Also could I buy it by internet ??
Should I get CPX or APX
or facebook adolyng ferreras
One more comment: Get on TV as much as you find available!!!!!
Hi Leo,
Thanks for your order! The APX500 uses a laminated spruce top and nato back/sides. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

I played both, and its very much the same but the apx since its a thin body it generates a flat tone sound, the cpx is concert size, and it generates a bottom low base sound tone.
