Thanks for this. Clearly, Spain probably even took a gamble themselves, sailing out so deep before the start line. Sure, Australia perhaps/probably would have won if they didn't drop off the foils. There's always an element of luck in every race. Well done to Spain.
Let me tell you I do not understanf your analysis, for you a gamble is an absolute perfect start with no need to change boat direction since initial acceleration and in the right side of the wind. In racing if you do an optimum start strategy and you made no mistakes during the race you deserve the victory. If your start is average and apart you made mistakes how can you deserve the victory?
This format is so flawed. I think having the grand final immediately after the last round of the tournament is such a bad idea. So is having the entire series decided by one race. They should have the finals the following day (or two) and decide it over a series of races. Sorry to say it but Spain was not the best boat this year and they only just made the final. Then NZ and Aus had a bad race and there you go, Spain win. It’s not the best way to find the best boat.
Please turn off the commentators so we can hear the boats!!! Or at least make it an option. You have it in the background but they just talk over it 🤦♂️ There is literally not one second that they aren’t talking and stating the obvious.
So few opportunities to watch the races live in the US, but why keep returning to SF? It’s just filthy and unsafe there at this point. One of the top 20 least safe cities in the US. How about Galveston, Tampa, Norfolk or Biscane…? Just can’t do San Francisco anymore. L.A. and NYC have similar issues. So won’t be watching a live race unless I make it to Sydney next year.
I’m from Galveston and can’t believe you’d hold it up as a competitor. Tampa? Florida? Yea super safe 😂 “One of the Top 20 least safe…” ahhhhhh you’re into reading all the “Top ___” lists on Facebook and such that most people scroll right by and certainly don’t offer up as facts.
Enhorabuena campeones. Una gran regata de un equipo brutal.
Well done, Spain, great to see. Bravo!
Good work, congratulation

Spanierds deserved the victory due to their perfect performance. The comment "There's always an element of luck in every race" is not appropiated

I am sorry but specifically in this race I do not see luck anywhere. Cheers
Very nice!!!
what waa the motor boat doing there ?
i would think the course would be closed to amateurs.,?
That boat at the start cost them 2 million potentially
I think they mentioned that entry fee for sailGP is 10mil
less current near the shore

agree 😬
The Super Bowl is such a flawed format. One team can clearly be worse all season, but they win one game at the end and suddenly they are champions.
@@MrDoctorDave It's more equivalent to it coming down to the final play.
Aprende a aceptar los resultados con elegancia y felicita al equipo campeón.
Someone didnt support the winning team, oh no
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
শুধু দেখেই গেলাম খেলার নিয়মটাই বুঝলাম না

Totally agree ,and ditch 'Stevie'. Such a numpty.
AGREE,same with the Americas cup. Useless comments unless you are a blind person. And you miss the cool comments from the actual sailors.
2 million dollars and they can’t keep the course clear? Amateurish
2 Million Dollar Purse! Spain 🌁🙌❤️🔥
but water has bad grey colour THIS THING MUST BE HELD IN BALY OR LIMBOK
VIVA ESPANA
One race is not a true indication of the best team
Make a first to 5.
Menudo tostón de competición. A ver si termina ya.
