Dan here from ISA! I'm really excited to be bringing this new series, with one of our favorite people in the community, to the channel. For those that do not know Lynn - she's been a huge advocate for Asian American actors+activists. I first saw her in Saving Face with Michelle Krusiec and she quickly became someone I admired. She's involved with a blog/movement about body image in the AA community called Thick Dumpling Skin, and has been most recently seen on a number of Buzzfeed videos on food! Follow Lynn as she reconnects with her culture bite by bite in Taiwan.

I lived in Taiwan between 1959 and 1961. I was a young teenager. That Taiwan no longer exists but my family and I loved living there. Some of the best years of my life. Circumstances have prevented me from returning and now I've waited too long as my health will keep me from traveling. So many changes. I'd love to see them.
She kept saying dumplings. Why? Said it once, and I scrambled to subscribe fast enough! 😂😂😂❤️
+Jake Lizama lol!
I NEED a robotic arm to feed me cupcakes!! This was great Lynn. Thanks for taking us on your journey!

I want to know what the name of that treat you ate in the beginning. looks soooo good
The food in Taiwan is enough for me to buy a plane ticket and pay them a visit.
Hmmmmm. ... dumplings!

That was a really interesting exhibition / food show. The robotic arm for food and banana stem was funny =)

YASSS!! Taiwan!!
she's great really funny!
Food adventures in Taipei would of been more fun in the food market near Xiamen or the toilet place in Xiamen. ._. Or showing the hipster vibe of zhongxhiao Dunhao 💕 best area to shop and eat at for aesthetics and fashion and tasty food.
love you lynn chen!
I miss Taiwanese food so bad! Shout out from a Taiwanese Aussie :)
+Aromatic Beauty Thanks for watching!
I don't understand why she is shocked/amused that people were eating out of plastic bags. People have been doing that for years. Over a decade. I remember when a Tapioca Express opened up by San Jose State University (in San Jose, California) in 2002. They sold fried squid, friend chicken, fish balls, and some other goodies served in a paper bag placed in a plastic bag with handles for easy carrying. I'm sure people consuming food out of a bag has been in existence long before 2002 as well.
From ny and in Taiwan for a vacation right now!!!!!!
MISSING MY HOME TOWN:)
Does Lynn speak taiwanese fluently? It was kinda hard to tell since she was speaking in english as well as chinese.
Taiwanese is mainly spoken by the older generation. Local newer generations speak mandarin o:< depending on how well her mandarin is will depend how well she can speak in Taiwan cause local talk changes all the time lahhhhh :3
