Part 2 of The Dubrovnik Tour by our roving reporter Alanna. What a wonderful time you both have had. I've never been to Croatia but your travelog puts it on my "to do" list. All the best.
Thanks again for sharing this video with running comments. You are so naturally funny and entertaining Alanna. When you were on the boat the word POSH came to mind, Port Out Starboard Home. That’s what rich people used to do when on a ship so that there cabin was always facing land
Hi Alanna, yes, I WANT PART 1...oh wait a minute, I just watched Part 1. Love all the videos. Like you, I can't stand crowds and I will do just about anything to avoid them. Wow!! Those stairs are making me feel tired just watching you climb them. The views are truly spectacular there. Another place that has a lot of stray cats is Malta, from what I have been told. The ferries in Dubrovnik look somewhat similar to the ferries that operate in Sydney Harbour in Australia. Hearing the waves of the sea can be very relaxing. As a child, my parents and I used to have a three week holiday stay in Cronulla south east of Sydney Australia during the summer. From our accommodation location, we could hear the waves continuously coming into shore. As requested...I WANT MORE OF CROATIA please!!! Anyway, take care. Rob.

Hey Alanna. Cool, I wasn't expecting this until Tuesday. Croatia looks beautiful and you seem to have hit the right balance of weather. Glad you had a great time with your adventure.
That's cool how you can get an elevated view of the town from the wall walking path. How did you resist eating the coffee crisp with it in your face. All the cats make me miss my old cat. Raspberry gelato sounds great. I love most things raspberry. You say it was great but I never would think to try gelato with basil flavor.

Hi there… Have been exploring your channel and just watched a couple of your “Comments” retrospectives. TH-cam comments sections are, as you must know, repositories for the worst of humanity. It’s disappointing to see so many British people indulging in rudeness and ignorance, but honestly - stupidity knows no boundaries. I’d just like to THANK you for creating and keeping up with this channel. I’m sort of stuck here in the US, despite having a deep desire to live in the UK, and I live vicariously through expats like you. Long story, but I’m disabled with MS and also staying here at least until my son finishes grad school; I just don’t feel comfortable leaving the country until I can at least be assured he’s settled into adult life with some kind of security. And even then… honestly, I just don’t know if I could stand having an entire ocean between me and the light of my life. On the other hand… I’m 54 years old and when exactly am I going to start living for myself? So - we’ll see, I’m not going anywhere for the time being, so people like you give me something to enjoy and dream about. Maybe by the time he finishes grad school my health will have improved enough for me to actually do something about this dream of mine… Don’t let the bastards get you down.

Myself and my partner went to Dubrovnik a few years ago. It's beautiful. I have another story about Otok Lokrum island, from a local taxi driver. It's not the ghost island, but the local "love island". With younger locals unable see each other out of sight of their parents so easily in a crowded place, this island was always the choice of young couples "to get to know each other". The taxi driver recalled he and his wife used to be fond of meeting there in their younger days.
