I remember as a kid I heard the faster version on the radio and absolutely loved it. I went looking everywhere trying to download it and kept getting this version. I was so pissed at this version for the longest time. Now it’s probably my favorite version of the song.
I remember listening to this while driving through the winding spring roads in Yosemite. It was such a spiritual experience enjoying the visual beauty of that place alongside this song. I will never forget that feeling.
I was SO confused. I've only ever know this version since I was little, and when I went to look it up on youtube everything sounded wrong! The tempo's off, the singing's at a slightly higher pitch; I thought I was going crazy! I never knew there was more than one version.
Lol there are 3 versions I think. The radio edit is about 4 and a half minutes. The studio version of the full song (the one released as a single) is about 6 minutes. And then there is this one.
are you shitting me? This is the true essence of this song. This is the feeling. If you cant see it in your mind, then you don't know where it came from.....beautiful
Lyrics: I've been waiting I've been waiting for this moment all my life But it's not quite right And this 'real' It's impossible if possible At whose blind word So clear but so unheard I've been waiting I've been waiting for this silence all night long It's just a matter of time To appear sad With the same old decent lazy eye Fixed to rest on you Aim free but so untrue Everyone's so intimately rearranged Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine Everyone's so intimately prearranged Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine Locked and loaded Still the same old decent lazy eyes Fixed through your gaze That's why I said I relate I said we really Need to fight to relate It's the room the sun and the sky The room the sun and the sky I've been waiting I've been waiting for this moment
I thought I was going crazy I used to love this song and every time I heard it , it jsut sounded off. This is the version I know! Thank god I found it.
This was the first version of this song that I heard. While I love it, I do like the faster album version better. However, they should have kept that very beginning part. It immediately grabbed me in and I still love it to this day. They should have done more with and kept in the album version.
Went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out the meaning behind the song to find that this was the full version lol But anyways it’s about letting your insecurities and anxiety free also it’s meant to be self interpreted 2
This song almost didn't make it into the album. If you watch the artist commentary, they had a heated argument with their producer and even he was like "I don't get it". So they sped it up.
Their producer was correct: increasing the tempo makes the song much more catchy and easy to listen to. Slowing the song down doesn't add anything like depth or nuance (and certainly not meaning in this case) so I believe the radio version is better for this particular track.

as u grow older and mature you start to develop more of an appreciation for the simple things in life
This version is so raw and so much more emotion I love it.
this version got me through 8th grade and it's getting me through coronavirus panic. thank you, sspu.
High school for me
Got me through sophomore year
never forget the government tried to hurt you and your family in more ways than one.

That sounds dope 🥹

TheBlondeRecluse SAME
so you guys only ever heard this obscure version and never ever heard the mainstream version that was all over the radio? yeah sure
LOOOOL
definitely. I had no idea there was a fast version. This version was out for a while before they got any radio play
Lol there are 3 versions I think. The radio edit is about 4 and a half minutes. The studio version of the full song (the one released as a single) is about 6 minutes. And then there is this one.
For me, THIS is the definitive version of this song.
Man I've had this on CD since the mid-2000's. It really has a different vibe to it.
ive been looking for this version for years!!!!
I've been looking for this version, alllll myyyy liiiiiifeee!!!!
This is the best version IMO!!!
100% agree!
It's much more chill and patient to the listener.
I love demos sometimes more than the album version 🎶💕🥰😎
That last 27 sec clip has been in my head for years.
Para mi esta versión es mucho mejor que la del video, la escuché por primera vez por el 2006 en una radio y me encantó, cuanta nostalgia ❤
are you shitting me? This is the true essence of this song. This is the feeling. If you cant see it in your mind, then you don't know where it came from.....beautiful
So glad i found this. This is the version i grew up listening to so hearing that fast album version throws me off completely
love finding different versions of songs I already love, I do like the sped up version better though
Lyrics:
I've been waiting
I've been waiting for this moment all my life
But it's not quite right
And this 'real'
It's impossible if possible
At whose blind word
So clear but so unheard
I've been waiting
I've been waiting for this silence all night long
It's just a matter of time
To appear sad
With the same old decent lazy eye
Fixed to rest on you
Aim free but so untrue
Everyone's so intimately rearranged
Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine
Everyone's so intimately prearranged
Everyone's so focused clearly with such shine
Locked and loaded
Still the same old decent lazy eyes
Fixed through your gaze
That's why I said I relate
I said we really
Need to fight to relate
It's the room the sun and the sky
The room the sun and the sky
I've been waiting
I've been waiting for this moment
Thank you! ❤
That's not the correct lyrics.
It's lost and loaded not locked and loaded.
It's "I relate it's so fun to relate" not fight to relate
Get high to this. Best trip I've ever had.
I did not too long ago to the studio version and it was insanely great but now I'm thinking how much better it could've been 😞
The album version is a tad too fast for me, this is the version I first heard many years ago and I thank you for uploading it so I could dl it:)
So many good memories attached to this song its insane. Thank you for sharing
This is how this song was meant to be heard. The radio version - cool but doesn’t have the vibe this one captures. So good.
Best version imo
3:06 Love it
This is more of a prog rock song than the higher tempo song. I love this.
I thought I was going crazy I used to love this song and every time I heard it , it jsut sounded off. This is the version I know! Thank god I found it.
The atmosphere in this song is much more dreamy than the album version. Also, it somehow reminds me of Dirty Boots by Sonic Youth.
The music videos for Lazy Eye and Dirty Boots are nearly identical too
@@MaadXXX Now you mention it, that's right!
This was the first version of this song that I heard. While I love it, I do like the faster album version better. However, they should have kept that very beginning part. It immediately grabbed me in and I still love it to this day. They should have done more with and kept in the album version.
This was the first one I heard as well. Best version I think.
Why was it so hard to find this version! This was the one I fell in love with, the faster version irritates me lol
i always liked this version.
Finally found it! Thanks for uploading.
I was sent to this song after a FN Meka playlist lmao. Ouch.
This literally makes me think of messing with the code on my MySpace page so everything would be perfect.
I think the album version is better. Glad they sped it up. But one thing they should've kept is the harmony in "the room, the sun and the sky"
agree wholeheartedly
Luckily, they do sing it that way in live performances, especially acoustic versions where it's just Nikki and Brian.
❤
I follow music, this is a kick ass song
Good version
Set speed to 1.25 and a superband is born
Went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out the meaning behind the song to find that this was the full version lol
But anyways it’s about letting your insecurities and anxiety free also it’s meant to be self interpreted 2
i knew its existed somewhere
Album version is my fav, but, hell, it's the SSP's... :)
Tahaaaaa sa duuuuu✌🏼😎
demo version being better than radio, lmao. very noic
Oooooh!!!
faaaaaark. this cooks.
Great
This song almost didn't make it into the album.
If you watch the artist commentary, they had a heated argument with their producer and even he was like "I don't get it". So they sped it up.
Pardon my french, but... holy moly fucking shit balls! You can tell here they had no idea here it would be such a fucking hit!!!
Yaaaaass
Their producer was correct: increasing the tempo makes the song much more catchy and easy to listen to. Slowing the song down doesn't add anything like depth or nuance (and certainly not meaning in this case) so I believe the radio version is better for this particular track.
Slow or fast … is an opinion. 1 message of the song itself is to each their own … “it’s so fun to relate…”
I like blue, you like red
album version feels rushed. not enough time to get lost in the music.
+Thomas Streets Lol you think this version is slow.....I have an earlier demo where it sounds like a record on 33 when it should be on 45!
Would you be willing to upload that earlier demo?
Thomas Streets I love how this gets you lost in the music. got any recommendations?
Please upload.
Try not to bob your head up and down
was literally just dancing in my chair and swaying and bobbing my head when I saw this lol
So… how is this version downloaded on Spotify?
-thanks for upload here, really!-
Do you have this in flac?
I fell so hard to this , loving ... always
Where to download this version?
You can use audacity and record it right off TH-cam
Where can i purchase this demo?
To me, the slower tempo gives the demo a contemplative, wistful feeling the _Carnavas_ version lacks.
Lazy eye demo version rules
Not gunna lie, the studio version is better. Both are great
This version is so much better
What EP is this from???
This is the original song, it was later sped up and tweaked. This is the one we all bought on CD back in the 2000s.
Faster version is way better IMO
Hmmm. I just found this version. I like it, but wow it feels slow.
