In other RTS games like Age of Empires II or StarCraft, attack-move is frequently used, where units move to a designated location while attacking any enemies they encounter along the way. But why is attack-move rarely seen in Age of Mythology?

I know I'm no good at the game, but what could the Gaia player have done differently to stop a priest siege? Go for an early 2nd tc? Try to match the heroic age and go for destroyer/arcus or smth?

Contarius are really good against priests and siege towers so you can rush heroic and make a bunch of them.
