People don’t quite understand how much testing goes into a map. First it’s months of modeling then meshing, and testing and for a perfectionist like oxy it takes a while. With you doing this series on a wip map maybe people will understand and not be so impatient on when a masterpiece like calmsden makes it to our hands! Excellent job Scroft
Spot on. Before I start recording I was helping with testing and we've found a lot and Oxy has fixed a lot. Then Before that Oxy did so much work to get it ready to test and change everything to placeables. But it's all worth it for a decent map that's ready to go 👍👏🙂

Really enjoying this series I have spent more time on this map than any other over the last three years, and it looks like its about to continue. well done to Oxygen David, very talented.
Two options I like on a grain cart. The first is low priority, but having a cover means I can leave stuff in the cart even when it rains (and I can prevent snow deposit in the cart). The second is much more important to me, especially if there are covered tip points, the grain door (if correctly implemented) does a shallower tip, resulting in fewer clipping issues - though you are trading tip speed for it.

Just to add the game needs a land rover discovery and a JCB Telehandler 4710 it's the one on tracks 11.5 ton offset cab. frequently used on British farms.
Another option for the summer/winter pastures would be to have the summer ones as an extension to the barn and the animals move/ visibility changes based on the season

What I’d like to see, and it could also work for console, is have the placeable sheds with pasture and you trace where the boundary of the field is but it doesn’t place a physical fence and the cows stay within the boundary. Then you place your own fences/ walls/ brambles etc. It can’t be that hard, the disappearance of my cows by deleting the fence was confusing at best 😂
Good evening, scroft it would be nice if sheep can be moved from field to field any grassfield on any map and have a have a decrease in growth stage and when there isn't any grass left then move then on to the next field.

Amazing if it’s took this little time to bring over calmsden and make it that much better imagine how the new map hes been working on for almost a year is going to be cracking work by both of you scroft without you we’d have a buggy map👍🏻❤️
Scroft therre is a way to do tthe pastures and get it to work but its a bit if a faff. You need to mark out in GE whwre you want the fencing of the pastures to go. Best way to do that is with painting grass or a texture down. Now remove any walls or anything that can get in the way. Now export the map and open it in game place the pasture with the fence and then you delete the fencing but keep the corner posts. So make sure when you biul the pasture fencing to add them in the corner spots. I do with 3 in a L shape. So basically delete all the fencing except the L shaps. Now save the game. Now open the placable xml for the save game and copy the information into the map placable xml. Now go back into GE and place the walls ect back and export it out. Now open a new save and the pasture will be there with the walls ect. It works because as long as yiu keep the corners of a pasture the navmesh stays. The fencing is the navmesh now. Basically imagine drawing a ring. The ring is the boundary and thats how the navmesh works now. Like i said its a huge faff but its a work around for now. Pass it on to oxy. He might be able to use it at least until giants fix it.

The issue with milk is when you move the cows the productivity resets to zero, and with a pasture with 50k litres of grass the productivity only reached 13% before the cattle had eat all the grass which gave very little milk, btw I have a pasture that produces milk I made myself for my own map but it’s the productivity that’s the problem
Yeah, that's a good point. More reason we need MaizePlus. As we can get the productivity up with grass then. I'm really not sure how Giants made such a hash of the animals. Nothing new in gameplay apart from grazing, and that's broken.
Maybe there could be a mod version of the fence for dynamic pastures which is invisible / no height so that you can place it down around the edge of an existing field and leave it so they look to roam within the field itself?
Please tell me that Oxy removed HASN’T the cow pasture. That was the absolute best part of Calmsden FS22, having the cows out in the pasture. I know Daggerwin has milk coming out of his dynamic buffalo pasture, but the fact that there is no gate is ridiculous. As other have said, the dynamic pasture outline should be set up with or with fences or collisions. That way they could be placed within an existing fenced pasture. Also, while they are at it, any milk produced should be "extended" to the main cowshed.
In FS22, The Slurry pit was behind the Silage Bunker… I liked it there… Are we going to have to muck out Manually? Will the Cows 🐄 take Silage like Court Farms? Still 150 Cows at the Cow shed?
Scroft how come you couldnt get oxygen david to do the new gate and cow shed? I also noticed at the side of the main shed where the combine is stored there is a lift gate on the side?
Scroft i think there is a cow pasture mod that does milk. I think its a base game edit and im sure i saw it on kingmods. Havnt tried it out though...i think lol....cheers man

@Scroft The place anywhere mod exists, i found the mod on kings mods, works amazingly its called ''Place, Terraform & Paint Anywhere'' has a cow barn as the picture. hope this helped!!
In the last one scroft i said about the combine should have a number plate on as standard this was one for oxy as your vehicle menu had a dash next to it small detail but we know how real oxy likes his maps i appreciate you can change it but as your the one picking thought id give you more to do 😂😂😂
We almost need a mod like we had from LSFM in 19 on Hofbergman which allowed for mobile milking or something along that line until giants fixes the isssue
They restricted everything I can’t even place bushes and stuff beside my home when I build one or place one and it makes it look stupid. It wasn’t like that on farming simulator 22 you could put bushes all the way up to the side of the house but on 25 nope

It's all fixed now. It was a lighting issue on Calmsden. Oxy has fixed it 👍

Because Oxy is very busy bud. It would take so much time to model all the new buildings and then adding them in. We are talking hundreds of hours

you can put them outside during the day and inside during the day. if you do this you get the milk you want

Im on holiday, but pretty sure there already is a pasture with milk production.
There’s hardly any mods out atm plus I don’t think giants want to release mods that make their game Look bad
