@@Harpsibored Well if you ever decide to do *spooky*, a harp cover of The Extreme could sound really cool, especially if you tweaked the speed of the second bit so it was slow and creepy instead of paced for combat. Thanks for the music.
Another underrated hit from Final Fantasy VIII. So good. There are a ton of calming songs throughout the Final Fantasy franchise that I think so many people overlook. Fantastic arrangement, and it really does give a sense of serenity and calm.

I think you're doing it to stop the string vibrations, but every time you reach out your arm to touch the strings, it looks like you're so proud of your harp that you're giving it a hug and it's very wholesome. When you just woke up (didn't even dream I was a moron), it's raining, you see this went live and it's so relaxing it's tempting to just drift off again ☺️💚 it's a simple tune, but has some deceptively tricky aspects to being played on a harp, well done 😄

One of my favourites from FFVIII! And nicely played! ...looks like it doesn't have too many accidentals, I might try it on my lever harp. I love this piece, I'm gonna be trying to play it for hours and my partner is definitely going to get sick of it. She can blame you for it.
Geez I'm happy for this track right here. One of my faves from 8 and just all time in general. Very calming and relaxing, I could just run around the town for an hour and also just do nothing. I'm sure many can relate to just listening to this music with the game running. Very simple, yet charming and effective to a great degree. This was definitely a treat to listen to on the Harp, and I think it's the first time I heard a harp rendition of it. Well done! It was just as amazing on the Harp as I could imagine. @@Harpsibored ff town themes are so calming, like ff12's Eryut village and ff9's village dali and Oeilvert the only 2 songs I can play on flute, which I picked up at the lockdown too haha. Eryut eludes me still though. Guadsalam is a favourite too but I can't imagine it on one instrument, oh well.

Woke up and saw this in recommended. Had to listen, almost brought tears to my eyes from the memories. FF was a great time for my childhood, FFX-2, and FFXI specifically. Great music to listen to on the harp played by you. Keep it up, I'll be listening =D

So that being said, I'm super flattered that you like my mix quality!! I'd be happy to make a video on it at some point, maybe once I figure a few things out first. Mmmmm those harmonics sound so good on harp. Loved this! This song has been part of my standard warmup routine when sitting down to play my guitar for quite a while now. It's simple enough to just turn the analytical part of the brain off and just feel it. Is it the same for the harp, or do those chords with accidentals make it not as simple?
Oooh that's a fun warm up routine. I approve. Sometimes I warm up with the Prelude, hah. The accidentals are not bad at all on the harp in this song! Only 2 notes if I recall. Melody of Lute on the other hand was a pain in my spoony bard ass

am i remembering this clearly? this theme hits after a pretty heated action segment. i remember as a 12 year old this music hitting me like cold water in the face, and i intuitively knew that i was going to engage lots of different parts of my brain (not just the explosions pew pew parts) to figure out ff viii. it does not care about pleasing me, this game cares about telling a HUGE story
Hmm I'm not sure, I think you first hear this theme when Squall is on his way to his final SeeD test in Dollet. But it's true that going to Balamb in between tense parts of the game does create a nice sense of calm
After the mission in Dollet, after fighting a giant mechanical spider on the way back to the boat, this music kicks in once you get back to Balamb. Definitely like cold water to the face lol

am i remembering this clearly? this theme hits after a pretty heated action segment. i remember as a 12 year old this music hitting me like cold water in the face, and i intuitively knew that i was going to engage lots of different parts of my brain (not just the explosions pew pew parts) to figure out ff viii. it does not care about pleasing me, this game cares about telling a HUGE story
Hmm I'm not sure, I think you first hear this theme when Squall is on his way to his final SeeD test in Dollet. But it's true that going to Balamb in between tense parts of the game does create a nice sense of calm
After the mission in Dollet, after fighting a giant mechanical spider on the way back to the boat, this music kicks in once you get back to Balamb. Definitely like cold water to the face lol
