I've just started sewing again after many years, I was dreading making mistakes but actually in one way I'm pleased because I've learned what not to do. I find the mistake making so helpful in my sewing journey. Thankyou for your video xx
Today is may 5 2020 a video you made in sept 13 2019 came up ....yes you were talking to me ! You said a lot that really hit home.. yes I got into sewing cause I needed a class in high school to fill in since I had completed all the requirements.. back in the 70 s you had the option of home mech which taught sewing and cooking no ooo I told my mom she taught me how to cook and wasn’t interested well. I was wrong.. took the class on sewing and I loved it but back then you were taught take your measurement and that’s the size you wear well that does not work anymore ..who knew as you are getting older the body makes lots of changes in the way you would not want to go but reality is what it is.. so now I am 65 still look young mind is young age is just a number so now I am trying to learn how to cut, line up the pattern pieces to make these adjustments it’s overwhelming and scary . And if there’s a question no one to ask.. Why didn’t they teach us this stuff back then!, hard to break old learning but the new and right way is challenging.. thank you so much I will be going back to watch ALL your videos to see what I missed... I enjoy them all very much.. I love all your choices of patterns and colors ,you are very talented.. oh I had 5 children to the baby is 30 ,31, and 40,42 ,44 ... living in a small town in Tennessee no one teaches sewing. We have a quilting store in the next town huge they have everything all the machines etc and cotton fabrics it’s like I could stay all day it’s amazing what technology has done, but out of reach money wise but it sure looks fun,love to just go and look at fabrics..we’ll let you go keep up doing what you do I really appreciate it and I’m sure others do too!! Sorry I wrote to much ❤️
