Panic was the “player killer” in Duelist Kingdom arc who used the King of Yamimakai! And had the shananigans with the Castle of Dark Illusion, which had its flotation device destroyed by the Catapult Turtle X Gaia the Dragon Champion combo, then when Yugi’s Swords of Revealing Light ended the castle fell and killed all the monsters trapped by Panic’s Yellow Luster Shield!! Hahaha so many shenanigans in that episode!! 🤣🤣

My favorite MRD card is Thousand Dragon because Joey isy favorite character, and my favorite legacy set is also Metal Raiders, it has the most cards out of all the OG sets.
You bought 30 separate packs? Why not just buy a box at that point and be basically guaranteed a secret? Buying a box averages out to a little under $3 a pack.

Thousand Dragon for sure, mainly because how you summon it in the show is vastly different from how you're actually supposed to summon it. Plus, Time Wizard has some pretty funny stories attached to it with my friend group. One of my friends would summon Time Wizard and use its effect, but I don't think he ever successfully used it and ultimately destroyed all of his monsters instead.
My boy B. Skull Dragon is for sure my fave from this set. I remember as a kid I went crazy trying to find it. Between those two secrets you pulled, usually I'd pick Gate Guardian but, that Thousand Dragon just looks so clean.
Mirror Force was really insane back in the day you can sometimes use it today to catch people off guard and Summoned Skull is still one of the coolest cards in the set
Mirror Force and Summoned Skull were the two best cards I pulled back in the day from this set! My favorite legacy set they're re-releasing is IOC though, all day every day.
This is just something I noticed, but when you pulled Change of Heart the Icon in the upper right made the split in the card nearly perfectly line up with the line that defines the corner of your room. 😅

Metal Raiders is such a sweet set. My second favorite set right behind Spell Ruler. Gate Guardian and the pieces sell this set for me alone. Mirror Force, Thousand Dragon, and Black Skull Dragon are just bonuses to me lol

Opened a box with my partner yesterday. I pulled thousand dragon and heavy storm, she pulled time wizard, suijin, Sanga, gate guardian, kuriboh and twin headed thunder dragon… Both secrets from one box was insane

Since you mentioned gate guardian in the intro, I find it funny that the easiest way to summon it nowadays is actually to just summon it from the deck off the effects of gate guardians combined after your opponent outs it. Yet nobody does that because in an actual gate guardian deck, you would always choose to summon the other fusions instead of your big vanilla beatstick. It's still cool though, and I love it both as a card and as a concept

My favorite legacy set is PSV by far. I still remember being hyped about the set because I bought a magazine (cardmaster) where they had the full set spoiled ahead (with their top10 best cards etc.). As a kid I managed to pull thousand-eyes restrict of a single booster my mom bought for me when we were at the mall. Set takes a special place in my heart because it's connected to the memories.
Loved when Secret Rares were just collector's cards, nothing too strong. Not much later they started hiding playable meta cards behind the Secret Rare wall and making our life harder.
Favourite legacy set is spell ruler! Got lucky and pulled relinquished, toon summoned skull, toon mermaid and blue eyes toon dragon in the same box yesterday!

Horn of Heaven is actually really good, especially since it's a Counter Trap. And only other Counter Traps can respond to Counter Traps.

Easy question. King of Yamimakai has a weird defense stat, like Castle of Illusions and Reaper of the Cards. That's a Panik card.

I really like the Ultra Rare Version of Summoned Skull in Metal Raiders. It's just such a cool anime card. But there is a lot of good stuff in here
