Here’s a storyline idea: bowser has gotten control of all/most of the power ups, and he has hidden them not just in mushroom kingdom, but all over earth! But Mario has severe injuries from trying to stop bowser, and Luigi is to scared! So only Toad and Toadette can stop bowser by collecting all the power ups and using them against bowser!

I love the boss on 7:25 just because the hammers show up in a spot that makes it look like the boo is actually throwing them, not the hidden hammer bros. I love those unintentional details.

Meanwhile, Mario, Toad and Toadette are shocked to see that Luigi has been kidnapped again. Jeff the mage tells the gang that Luigi may have been possessed again, and that they need to reunite to be able to save the world. They must conquer the long desert that they need to cross as skeletons try to dig their graves. Time is running out, will the world be saved?

12:41 Re-telling: Now he is forced atop the tower for the last phase of the battle with Ludwig Von Doom.
Ludwig has become a giant and now battles him out fiercer than ever before. Boo buddies once again restrict him to the center of the arena, as Lava Bubbles, Bob-Ombs and Wigglers are everywhere.
Finally, Luigi smashes that evil turtle for one more time!
Then he sees Ludwig Von Doom phase out of spirit world, and all he hears is Ludwig Von Doom's voice saying this: *_"You may have won this battle, but the war is not over."_*

Second part sotryline idea: Luigi phases through the floor and sees the phantom again, he has to hit 3 question blocks with a spring while the phantom throws blue marshmallows at him! After enough hits and with the blocks, the door opens, when Luigi enters KING BOO DROPS IN WITH THE PHANTOM! Luigi has to hit enough pows to open a door and escape the 2 ghouls...

How about this: It turns out Ludwig von Doom is actually a robot controlled by Goombaratio, an over powerful goombarat. Goombaratio is who Twhompador was working for, and he was the one behind these hard boss fights. Also, the one who made Magikoopa trick Luigi into eating all those coins. He’s going for one person: Toadette. He knows Toadette is the one making all of the designs, so then Toadette has to play: 20( or who cares) even weirder boss ideas in Mario Maker 2. Add a goombarat at the end of all of that.
When I said designs, I meant inventions.

Now I really wish there were message blocks for us to use. Dialog could've been revolutionary for story-telling. Currently, the only ways to add any lore is to either type the plot in the level description, or to vaguely add easter eggs that might make players think about what is the reason for all of this. The latter is very difficult to the point where it's not even liable for professional creators to use. We need message blocks.

The “lost souls” start to revolve the world around them as revenge after Luigi defeated Von Doom! Mario and friends need to stop these reality bending souls before it’s too late!
Episode 1: Luigi gets cursed by Sweet Sweet Gold and meets Jeff
Episode 2: Luigi puts Toad in a Thwomp Jail and Jeff and Mario go to save him
Episode 3: Blue Toad befriends Thwompadore and escapes Luigi's Dungeon
Episode 4: Mario goes to collect key pieces to go to Toadette's Dimension
Episode 5: Toadette and Mario go to save Luigi
Episode 6: Thwompadore is revealed to be evil and gets defeated, then they free Blue Toad
Episode 7: Toadette makes bosses easier for Blue Toad on the island he's at
Episode 8:Toadette's Ray made the other enimies mutate so she goes to stop them
Episode 9: A new threat creates enimies to fight the gang
Episode 10: Luigi gets his soul extracted
Or maybe, possibly, a giant dry fish created Ludwig von doom, and you have to do twenty dry fish/bones ideas
