I was suprised they fixed alot of DK stuff from beta, but literally everything else was broken. low level BGs where giving 10+ levels for a little bit and they dissabled all PVP all together. also PVP quest NPCs where up for a bit so I think some people have conquest points from that.

It doesn’t work as it did originally. Largely due to the account wide mounts. Specifically, you did not need to have the achievement done to get the free 310% My alt rogue, whom hit 80 a week before prepatch, never did any achievement. She had access to a 310 mount from my dk/druid and had artisan flying. This rogue got the free 310 speed. This is better than original cata, but you had to know to really make use of it.
They fixed the westfall thing. The ironforge never worked since then, i managed to finish all meta achievements on my main, yet no title. All my other toons got the chopper and darnassus quest done but cant get the magni step to get further.

I agree that I am happy they seem to be communicating about bugs/fixes but it would be nice to have communication as to why they are making some of the changes.

Where are the spell overlays? Sort bags button? There's a dozen missing changes that I was anticipating. Half of them must've come later. I was looking forward to getting rid of 70% of my addons It hurts to see the underdog expansion get clowned on like this. PvPers are excited about this expansion. I think the haters will be surprised at Cataclysm's popularity, assuming we see some level of polish down the line.
My thoughts on pre-patch? It's still in absolute shambles. Ran our weekly ICC 25, blood lust was giving us sated, but not actually giving us blood lust, so we did every fight without blood lust, had someone who needed to do the blood queen quest for their legendary, and blood queen didn't bite a single person. So yeah, fun stuff, love having a broken game on live, and wish blizzard had actually used Beta bug reports, instead of completely ignoring all of it, pushing it to live and then going "Oh, hey we are going to treat the live game as Beta, hope you like being beta testers."
I was already not too happy about wotlk going away, now it got release in that state with the bugs that have been report for month, it just shows how much they dont care, im just going back to wotlk somewhere else, where there's actually less bugs
it's kinda funny. i lost battlemaster title which i previously had when i logged into cataclysm prepatch. Made a Ticket. Got Automated respons where they suggested me too ask for tips on forums on how i can get my title back.
I figured you folks on the other side of the "pond" were experiencing the same crap were are here in the states. Unreal that they can't figure this stuff out and produce a proper product. I used to complain about the old Blizzard, but at least they could say it was their first time releasing the stuff...
I woukd rather they release a messy prepatch to allow more players to experience it and provide feedback. what we are experiencing now is the intent of a prepatch. its in great shape for early days of a prepatch. even had some fun bugs we got to enjoy.
this is not a prepatch, this is a beta make no mistake; if they now have to fix all of this shit there's no way they'll have cata levelling zones and raids done by the time of the actual launch
Pvp in prepatch is 100% trash. Everyone turned into 1 shot machines were 4 or less hits remove 80% of your hp. It removed all forms of tactics or strategy in favor of spamming CDs and killing almost instantly. wont be playing cataclysm at all if this remains (even though I dislike other parts of expansions too)
As someone who PVP’d back in original cata prepatch in 2010, this is exactly like it was then. I played sub rogue and was legit 2 shooting 80s with ambush and evicerate back then lol. It’s just because the game isn’t scaled for this level or gear, it’s gonna be fine at 85
it is a sure sign of things to come with Cata. this isn't the version of the game they want us playing imo. SoM is their new baby (future) and War Within is the money maker for them. I think Cata will be the end of this versions ride.

Limited resources (developers) for limited return hype train for new membership, they'll look at attrition rates more importantly than bugs and find a balance. It's business. It's also fun as hell and I love playing Cata, CATA HYPE!

Is there still no word on them putting in XP from gathering professions? Its not currently on the beta or the pre patch.
