ALBANIAN RIVERA AND SECRET MOUNTAIN ROAD : MOTORHOME ADVENTURE EUROPE

- Traveling to southern Albania, where Walter has to negotiate the Llagora Pass and travel along the beautiful coastal roads past Vlore, to the Albanian Rivera. What an undiscovered secret. Beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters that are just made for swimming and snorkelling. We stop for a week at LIVADHI beach. Taking walks to Himare town and the very special Aquarium beach. A stunning cove we had all to ourselves for the morning.
Next we ventured to the secret road ( google wont take you this way! ) across the country and through the mountains towards TEPELENE, where we had a truly brilliant wild camping spot in nature. Just silence overnight and the hills to ourselves.Next morning we drove on towards the town stopping at a picturesque aquaduct for pictures and a walk. Loving Albania and our van life adventure !

Hello and Welcome...We are Martin and Eileen, a couple from the UK, meandering around Europe in our 21 year old motorhome called Walter.
In 2022 we took a long term sabbatical to start our full-time Motorhome living, setting off on our adventures travelling Europe and beyond ….
We have already explored some of Scotland and the Islands, Western Europe and Morocco, experiencing so many different and amazing views and sunsets. Last year we travelled through Romania and Bulgaria and into Greece. We are currently discovering Albania after spending the winter in Turkey, before heading into the rest of Europe. Well that’s the current plan anyway! Our mantra is no definite plan .. absolutely free ….

I am surprised at the look of these beaches. We were there for a few days and found the country quite littered with garbage.
There were many beaches that also has rubbish. It’s sad to see. But we did pick and choose our stops. You have seen how bad it can be. Only two days ago even on the villages we had to do a quick litter pick up near our motorhome. But these two beaches were very clean. 😎
