Anyone new to film?? 😁
I just sent off my first roll today. My nephew got me interested in it at Christmas. Not sure if what I shot turned out, but I feel like I'm already hooked. I just love the feeling of taking pictures with film. Forces me to slow down and think about shots a lot more.
@@kurtdewittphoto this describes what it does for me exactly! Every time I just load a new roll in it gets me excited!
Just bought an Asahi pentax spotmatic with a 28mm lens from my local film store, currently using HP5
@@Beanboyproductions hp5 is so good man, I think you’ll love it!
Not new, I shot quite alot in 2019-2020, but I'm renewing some of my personal projects to be film only for 2024
Nice shots man! I started shooting film in 2020 and haven't stopped ever since 👊🏻
You got more experience than me for sure then! I didn’t even start making videos until 2020 😅 checked out your channel as well, I’ll be following along, I love all things film these days!
I'm ready to get a film camera.. Film's also a great niche for you and this style.. Your channel will blow up just keep the good vibes flowing ✊
You’ll get hooked dude! Thanks Tim, it’s always good to hear from you my man, keep doing your thing! 👊🏻
this video is dope!!
Thanks so much Michael, I appreciate that! 😁
I hopped into film at the end of 2023, and I am really glad I got into it. I still swap a lot between that and digital, but there really is something unique about the experience that you articulate very well, and it's cool to see how you discovered this!
Thanks Grady! Yeap sounds a lot like my thought process, and swapping to digital now makes the workflow that much easier when shooting digital!
I love the video. I just started film photography this year, very excited.
Sweet! Hope all your rolls turn out great!
Thank you :)@@cjwomack
I am also new to film. I just recently bought an Olympus OM-1 and shot a roll of black and white. I should get to see my first film photos this weekend:D
I really like your video style, and I think it could really take off! It is exciting to be one of your first two thousand subscribers!
Thanks so much! I think you’ll be hooked on film, I know I am!
Love your video man! I got an old Pentax for christmas with some film and already shot abit but had nothing developed yet. Your beginning really resonates with me, all the careless fun and experiments I have expierienced myself - even having to turn the cap around lol. Wish me luck for how my film turns out and keep doing your thing!
😂😂 thanks man, Yeap I’ve left the lens cap on and taken some shots before, it was still fun though 😅 for sure I hope your film turns out great!
nice work dude, this was fun! felt like I was hanging out with you guys for the afternoon, haha.
Thanks man, looking forward to shooting more this year!
Towards the end of the fall last year I found an IC-1 Auto SLR Camera for $20 at an open house. Immediately fell in love with film again. Growing up I always wanted a camera like it but I didn't know much. Besides the family disposable camera and a polaroid. Now its our phones, fast forward to earlier this month I found another SLR, safe to say I'm enjoying this photography journey with ya🙏🏽
Awesome man! It has done much of the same for me in getting me excited about photography again! Keep it going dude 😁
Another good one - always love seeing that you've posted a new one!
Always love seeing my man Luke Dawson commented! 😁
Congratulations on your RB67 medium format camera. I love shooting b&w with my RB67 and three lenses (50/90/180).
Sweet! I only have the 65mm and love it!
I like the green zhiguli, perfect color for film
No doubt!
2nd view! 🙌 miss you buddy! The pictures look awesome!
You always showing up! 😂😂 thanks my man, we’ll be back in no time!
been shooting film - medium and 35 mm format - on and off since the 70s. but the cost of processing is a serious issue now.
Agreed! My mom shot loads of rolls when I was a kid and it was a normal thing to go to the lab on a regular basis. Now it feels like I’m saving film for special occasions.
Great blog. Really enjoying your channel. Just getting into photography again after many years. Started with film in the early 2000s and drifted away with the rise of digital. Shooting digital now but I’m drawn back to film.
Do you scan your own negatives?
All the best 🙏
Stephen
Thanks so much Stephen! This is my first few times shooting film besides using a disposable when I was a kid. I tried scanning once using a mobile app and it was so bad 😅 I’d like to get into the whole process of learning to develop and scan one day just to learn it. The lab I use now does a great job of both so it’s really nice and convenient. I’ll be following your channel as well! 😁
Hello. Great video. What lens do you have for your Mamiya? I have the 90mm but I’m looking for something wider.
Thanks Matt! I use the 65mm and never take it off, it’s the only one that I use!
@@cjwomack Nice! Thanks. The 90 is just too narrow. I like your shots, catching lots of the environment.
@@mattreyes79 yeah I can see that, I like wider more and more these days too! I read up a little on the 50mm as well but from everything that I saw most users still prefer the 65mm so will probably just stick with that for now. Happy shooting and thanks for the words!
It’s expensive to shoot film 😢
The one downside nowadays!
What was this shot on? And what resolution? Thanks
Sony A7III, 4K 24fps. No problem!
